It's been snowing in the UK, pretty heavily. So it's a bit cold (between -5°C and 2°C). It gets hard sometimes, my studies. Especially when I hit a major obstacle. I think it's partly my ego, having found maths relatively easy before I came here. Then I find something particularly difficult, and it's so demotivating, and I start questioning everything: my ability, my place here, whether I chose the right course. I know I just need to get over myself and accept a challenge for what it is.

One week into 2010, and let's see how it's been going:. This was the first year I didn't stay up 'til midnight on the 1st of January. Work's been going so-so, I tend to work really hard for a day and then break for a couple - I know it's better to be consistent, so I'm trying to even things out. Had a couple of nice days out with F :). Been having good food courtesy of Mother Dearest, who was nice enough to brave the sub-zero temperatures to cook for me :). Of tea, macarons and chocolate.

Su-Mei and I decided to do a jigsaw puzzle this holiday, so that we could frame it up and take turns keeping it! So we bought a pretty-looking one. Then, I started work and she had exams, so we got really busy and all we had was the 4 sides. However, we decided to get a move on last weekend and we completed the bridge. And since Su-Mei is on holiday now, we split the puzzle to do masing-masing. Now, I'm done with my part! The blanks you can see is actually the cityscape and some trees - Su-Mei's part!
