What to do.. | Hand in Glove

https://handglove.wordpress.com/2011/02/27/what-to-do

Laquo; What to say. As the days go by and we all watch the impact of the Christchurch earthquake. With continuing disbelief, I, like many others, find myself wondering what I can do to help. Here in Wellington there are numerous appeals and clever ideas. To help the people of Canterbury. People amazing at times of disaster. Here’s a couple that I’ve decided to support:. Working in a village | Hand in Glove

https://handglove.wordpress.com/2010/11/16/working-in-a-village

Laquo; Trash or treasure? The joy of the wilderness. Working in a village. Recently I started a new contract with a different organisation. It’s always a bit daunting starting a new role but one of the things I love about working in Wellington is that it really is a village. Caring | Hand in Glove

https://handglove.wordpress.com/2011/02/28/caring

Laquo; What to do. For whom the bell tolls. Over the last few days and I am sure over the coming weeks and months, we will see an incredible amount of caring and compassion. Some of the stories that are now emerging from last week’s Christchurch earthquake. Earlier in the year, I received an email at work with some thoughts that I think are worth sharing – now more than ever. Take breaks, morning tea and lunch are important for all kinds of good reasons, all work and no play etc. Take care of each other.

August | 2010 | Hand in Glove

https://handglove.wordpress.com/2010/08

Archive for August, 2010. August 25, 2010. Only a Kiwi would think to literally don a barbecue and then drive on home. Seriously, sometimes you just cannot help but admire good old fashioned Kiwi ingenuity. Shame the barbecue didn’t work and he ended up in court. What a classic story! August 3, 2010. I may be getting old, or I am being old-fashioned, possibly both, but I simply don’t get why women wear very high heels. Last week, one woman donned a glorious pair of purple stilettos.

December | 2010 | Hand in Glove

https://handglove.wordpress.com/2010/12

Archive for December, 2010. The joy of the wilderness. December 1, 2010. It would be fair to say that generally the weather here in Wellington is not the greatest. OK, it’s p. Retty bad most of the time. But this weekend the weather gods were shining on our capital. It was sunny, it was warm and there was no wind. Quite simply, it was joyous. And we decided to make the most of it. We headed over to the Orongorongas. You are currently browsing the Hand in Glove. Blog archives for December, 2010.

Between dawn and dark.com weblog. Weekly photo challenge: Up. Up close and respectful of Zara. I must apologise to all of you lovely people who’ve chosen to follow my blog. My recent inactivity is due to total pre-occupation in securing a new job. My life has taken a totally different turn. My new job is at Wellington Zoo. 8211; not as a keeper mind you. My new role is to ensure the business thrives now and into the future. I am SO happy – as happy as a pig in clover in fact! What an incredible privilege!

Between dawn and dark.com weblog. Weekly photo challenge: From above. Stretching the truth …. The angle of the sun tells lies! I stand at the magnificent height of 5′ 2 1/2″ – please don’t ask me the metric equivalent. I know it’s somewhere around 160cm…somewhere…. I don’t often feel tall among adults; why would I? But there was one time – just one – where I simply towered. I was a good head and shoulders taller than anyone else. What was my first thought? They are so – not long! May 6, 2013. My life has...

Between dawn and dark.com weblog. Weekly photo challenge: Lost in the details. When seen up close, these lifeless limbs take on new lives of their own. A tortoise reaching out for sunlight, a knarled snout hoping to catch some prey in it’s toothless jaws, fingers curling under…what do you see? Photographed on the shores of Lake Taupo, New Zealand, 28 February 2013. This entry was posted in Photography. Lost in the detail. March 3, 2013. Weekly photo challenge: Forward II. Between dawn and dark.com weblog. Weekly photo challenge: Lost in the detail II. Lost in the detail of this yummy plateful of bruschetta (devoured last night at Wellington’s Maria Luca Restaurant) is the tangy taste of the fresh tomatoes, aubergine, feta and garlic and the delicate crunch of the lightly toasted ciabatta. I will return to Maria Luca just to have another plate of bruschetta. Forget sharing – I’ll have one all for myself! This entry was posted in Food. And tagged #DPLost in the detail.

Hand g´macht

Materialien. Farben. Stoffe.
