Handmade~by~Sheri: The Small Things in Life

http://handmadebysheri.blogspot.com/2015/08/the-small-things-in-life.html

My 1 Million Row Challenge. Sunday, August 2, 2015. The Small Things in Life. Sometimes it is the smaller things in life that I am most grateful for. Take yesterday for instance. We managed to get to the monthly local vendor fair at Whole Foods. We walked around inside the store and tried some samples. Then we had lunch at the in store bar. We got to listen to some great music while we were eating lunch. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. Follow me on Twitter.

My 1 Million Row Challenge. Sunday, March 29, 2015. Today I got more knitting done. I finished knitting another hat, but still have to weave in the ends tomorrow. I also made progress on a poncho. I might get more knitting done with the bad allergy season we are having here in Arizona. I think it might have something to do with all the rain we had this winter. I have a question for every one. Does anyone else walk and knit at the same time, like I do? This is today's hat. Friday, March 27, 2015. After din...

http://handmadebysheri.blogspot.com/2014_10_01_archive.html

My 1 Million Row Challenge. Sunday, October 26, 2014. I tried to take a knitting break this afternoon in Eric's room, but he sent me back to clean. His logic is that Teri will not come home until the house is very clean. Eric really wants to see Teri so he is being single minded in this. Either that or he is finally sick of me being around checking on him all the time while he was home sick. Well it looks like it is time to go put dinner on. So have a great week everyone. Saturday, October 25, 2014.

http://handmadebysheri.blogspot.com/2015_04_01_archive.html

My 1 Million Row Challenge. Wednesday, April 29, 2015. Today I left the sewing room ready to throw the sewing machine out of the window. John in a perfect way that only John can do, ushered me out of the sewing room and closed the door for the night. Then redirected me towards dinner. The chicken and roasted vegetables were even better the second night. I am so glad that the asprain kicked in before bed time. Monday, April 27, 2015. I got the cold. Wednesday, April 22, 2015. http://handmadebysheri.blogspot.com/2015_07_01_archive.html

My 1 Million Row Challenge. Friday, July 31, 2015. So it's time to run the dishwasher, washing machine and dryer. Wednesday, July 29, 2015. I was very tired today. Eric is feeling better and I started him on a trial of formula at 5:30 this morning. It went well. By 8:30 we were both ready for a nap. I think the nap was a better choice than a lot of caffeine. By 11 we were ready to get a haircut for Eric. That was enough to wipe me out. I am hoping for more energy tomorrow. Tuesday, July 28, 2015. I am ho...

Unique Designs By Kathy: Southwestern Traditions

http://uniquedesignsbykathy.blogspot.com/2009/01/southwestern-traditions.html

Unique Designs By Kathy. Friday, January 23, 2009. This is one of the two shawls that I am currently working on. I ran out of yarn - again - so I am waiting for another skein to dry. The finished shawl will be around 20 by 60 inches - more of a wrap than a shawl. Tucson is a southwestern town. I first visited it when Kristie was less than 1 year old. I won't tell you how long ago that was - you can do the math! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). When Yarn is Knotty. A Scrumble a Week. Back to the Ranch.

Unique Designs By Kathy. Thursday, April 30, 2015. Around the farm in Spring. With spring, sheep are shorn and then the wool is washed and dyed. The water to the red barn is back on again. Toggle is growing quickly. He has already doubled in size since I took this picture two weeks ago. He likes to follow the cats. It is not really all that hot, but the animals are all heading for shade now. They will love their haircuts next week! Maryland Sheep and Wool Festival. Sunday, April 19, 2015. I am currently ...

Unique Designs By Kathy: September 2014

http://uniquedesignsbykathy.blogspot.com/2014_09_01_archive.html

Unique Designs By Kathy. Friday, September 26, 2014. Fall is a busy time on the farm. I am busy spinning new styles of yarns for the shows that I am attending this fall. Last weekend I was in Pennsylvania for Knitters' Day Out. They were fascinated with my feathered collar, but I sold out of that style yarn, since I only had one set. I spent this week experimenting with different colors and feathers. Next weekend I will be at the Waterford Fair in Waterford, Virginia. The weekend after I will be in Hartf...

Unique Designs By Kathy: Mushrooms

http://uniquedesignsbykathy.blogspot.com/2015/07/mushrooms.html

Unique Designs By Kathy. Monday, July 6, 2015. It has been a very wet spring and summer. Mushrooms are popping up everywhere. I do not know whether any of these are edible and I have no interest in trying to eat any of them. These mushrooms are the most colorful and were under the willow oak tree in the front yard. This is a wild looking set of mushrooms. These were the ugliest mushrooms. So dark. The mushrooms above and below were the largest ones. Some animal has already eaten this mushroom.

Unique Designs By Kathy: February 2015

http://uniquedesignsbykathy.blogspot.com/2015_02_01_archive.html

Unique Designs By Kathy. Sunday, February 8, 2015. Just Another Day on the Farm. Silkie, one of our dairy goats, had her kids on Friday. We decided to let her feed her own babies for a month, since we have two freezers full of mik. Saves us a lot of time, since there is so much else going on now. This mom is now looking like triplets. Any day now. Life is not always fun on the farm. This afternoon, the above ewe gave birth to a lamb with no jaw. I suspect that it might be the result of worming me...This ...

Unique Designs By Kathy: Yarn Styles

http://uniquedesignsbykathy.blogspot.com/2015/04/yarn-styles.html

Unique Designs By Kathy. Tuesday, April 7, 2015. I have been busy spinning feathered yarns and the singles to go with them in preparation for upcoming shows. I will be packing my shop up tomorrow and heading out to Sanford, NC, for their annual fiber festival. I am indoors this year, so weather will not be an issue. I have added a few freeform yarns to my inventory. They will all be new to NC since all of the ones I had before are long gone. One of my most recent lambs' tails. Everything is so lovely!

Posted on June 1st, 2010 in Donations. I finally got my NAN donation finished and thought I would share a few pictures. I lugged the totes along on a short vacation because I thought it would be fun to take the photos on the farm. I have to admit I love how they came out. My NAN donation consists of 6 traditional totes, 4 classic totes, and 10 stablemate totes. Visit the NAMHSA. Site to learn more about NAN. Posted on June 1st, 2010 in Fabric.
