Craftiness Is Not Optional. Sewing, crafts, and parties. Aqua and white swimsuit. July 28, 2015. Although this one’s a bit of a pattern hack-I chopped the top portion of the front and back pattern pieces and color blocked the teal with white. I added a little bow and some simple straps to the back! I do wish I had made the color blocked white portion thicker, but you know how it goes when you’re just winging it…sometimes it doesn’t end up how you pictured it the first time. Datura Blouse Bias Tape Hem Tutorial. Have you ever started a project and never got around to finishing it because of something small, like buttons? Or a bias tape finished hem? That’s what happened with my Datura blouse. When I became a contestant for the Super Online Sewing Match. I had to send in a self-portrait. Holy smokes–who knew it would be so hard to find a decent photo of myself? Does the fabric combination look familiar. In a “who wore it best? But nothing is more. My buttons are finished!

Modern and affordable clothing, accessories and furnishings…. June 10, 2013. I picked up this wire basket frame a few weeks ago. And knew immediately that I was going to turn it into a book and magazine holder for my sunroom. Since it was just a frame I needed to add a bottom. I used wooden slats that I cut down to size. After a refresher safety lesson from Peter. I haven’t used a table saw since shop class in high school and I forgot how much fun it is! Give me the Goods Monday @ Rain on a Tin Roof.
