http://theradclyffe.blogspot.com/2014/10/peter-teaser-2.html
Costuming projects by Kat Brown aka Radclyffe. Tuesday, October 7, 2014. As predicted. unprecedented progress! The trunk hose are nearly ready for a final fitting, the doublet is a breath away from being assembled for a final fitting. Sleeves? I'm calmly ignoring the sleeves altogether at the moment. The yummy extra piece is ready to undertake the most laborious and finicky part of the entire design. Here are some vague teaser snapshots. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). http://theradclyffe.blogspot.com/2010/11/beginningspast-projects.html
Costuming projects by Kat Brown aka Radclyffe. Wednesday, November 17, 2010. The beginnings.past projects. So, why this blog? For myself really, so I can track my projects and show others what I'm working on. Who knows what else it could become, but for the time being here are some things I've made that I wish I had documented in this way. Here is the first dress for portraying Mistress Mary Radclyffe at the Bristol Renaissance Faire in Kenosha, WI. www.bristolfaire.com/bristol. And somehow every project...

Costuming projects by Kat Brown aka Radclyffe. Thursday, May 3, 2012. Machines, Equipment, and Tools, OH MY! I've been flying, trying to clean the apartment, shopping for car insurance, fixing up and gathering up my grey dress, all while fighting a glorious (albeit losing) battle with a cold this week so I've only been able to get little bits done for Gresham. In Irwindale, CA! SoCal has a phenomenal Queen's Court that I've been itching to see for myself! First faire of the 2012 season, here I come!

The Radclyffe: Sundry Radclyffe projects in time for Bristol
http://theradclyffe.blogspot.com/2012/07/sundry-radclyffe-projects-in-time-for.html
Costuming projects by Kat Brown aka Radclyffe. Wednesday, July 4, 2012. Sundry Radclyffe projects in time for Bristol. So I had this chemise. got it from a friend who had made it and it was beautiful with really long full sleeves and it was this light soft silk with a gathered neckline that I took to wearing Italian squarneck style. I wore it all last season at Bristol, through the sweat and the dirt and the dust and the rain. Killed it in one day. Then, thinking about my open ruff, this one here,. I alw...

The Radclyffe: Mystery Project Revealed: Sexy LOTR Elf Goddess!
http://theradclyffe.blogspot.com/2012/06/mystery-project-revealed-sexy-lotr-elf.html
Costuming projects by Kat Brown aka Radclyffe. Wednesday, June 27, 2012. Mystery Project Revealed: Sexy LOTR Elf Goddess! So what happens when you combine me being inspired by someone else's character/costume, coming across a fabric while organizing that you think "hey this is so LOTR elven fabric", just completing a project with no other pressing project at hand, a few days off of work, and the silly desire to pretend to be a contestant on project runway? So what brought this all on? And then it hit me!

The Radclyffe: The "Grey-clyfffe" Dress

Costuming projects by Kat Brown aka Radclyffe. Thursday, November 18, 2010. This is the most recent of my completed projects. This dress I designed January 2010 for my continued portrayal of Mistress Mary Radclyffe at the Bristol Renaissance Faire. Photo by Vicki Callahan. Photo by Steve Spitzer. Photo by Vicki Callahan. The piccadils (at waist and shoulders) I made from cutting around part of the grey pattern and piping in both the burgundy and grey. Because of the bulk of the piping, I ended up lin...

The Radclyffe: Leaps and Bounds!
http://theradclyffe.blogspot.com/2010/12/leaps-and-bounds.html
Costuming projects by Kat Brown aka Radclyffe. Tuesday, December 7, 2010. So I've been a little errant in my updating. I finished working on Friday with just enough time to pack up to travel to Madison. I thought I would blog when I got to the hotel that night but alas, my photos wouldn't upload on that connection. Had a whole day off today so I got a lot done from Friday and today. With the exception of some finishing details the slops are DONE! There are a whopping four layers in the doublet. There...

http://theradclyffe.blogspot.com/2014_11_01_archive.html
Costuming projects by Kat Brown aka Radclyffe. Monday, November 17, 2014. Orlando layover = Sarasota Medieval Faire Adventure! It's not a sewing project or fabric shopping but I got to have a super awesome day at the Sarasota Medieval Faire and you should all know about it! It was weird, but a treat. Alright, but how would the entertainment be at this smaller 3 weekend faire? Well this is what greeted me inside. I caught a show very astutely titled "Danger Comedy Juggling and Whip Show". It was very ...
