But it takes a long time to make all our Christmas gifts and I have to start a few months in advance otherwise it's just too overwhelming. And why make thoughtful gifts for our loved ones and not enjoy the process? I made these gifts last year for the wine lovers on our gift list and they were both big hits. Trying to find little spots of saneness in a not-so-sane world. January 3, 2012. I’m so proud that I’m getting this up so soon after November’s post -woo hoo! December started just like any other month, but I remember very clearly when I put our new calendar up on the fridge there was a big twinkle in my eye when I started to write “fly to KC” on it. We were very excited to end the month with my family for Christmas! In a whirlwind of a weekend we found ourselves short one tenor sax and up one piano!

January 22, 2014. The kids make so many pictures that I want to have them displayed, but just not EVERYWHERE. So we have a designated place where they're art can get showed off at. I usually let the pictures build up for 6 months, then take my VERY favorite ones, laminate them, and put them in a craft album. The remaining get tossed.I know horrible right?
