About The Handmade Rocking Horse Company. Built with quality in mind. The Handmade Rocking Horse Company is the brainchild of Terry Gibson, with more than 40 years experience in carpentry. The first horse to be made by Terry was a large ‘Rocky’, and was given to his Grandson Harry on his first birthday. Terry knew that a gift such as this would remain in the family for many generations to come, and with the personalised bronze plate on the base of the horse, Harry would always know why the horse was made.

That’s why all of our horses are unique, not one is exactly the same. They are also hand-painted/finished to the highest standards. We only use top quality leather and metal tack on the finish product. Real horse hair is also used. Can I personalise my horse? Is my horse really bespoke? How long will my horse take to make?
