Just trying to keep up with ourselves. Thursday, February 14, 2013. Cooper is at that age where a lot of things are clicking in that little brain of his. Here are a few of my favorite Aha moments of his. While riding quietly in the car on the way to school the other day, Cooper exclaims, "I know why they call it sun block! Because it's lotion that blocks the sun! To which Layla quickly corrects him, "No Bud, a heater will make you hotter.". I don't say anything. I give him a few seconds.

Just trying to keep up with ourselves. Tuesday, May 20, 2014. Then God gave her a little incentive.she saw a little girl at a basketball game who only had a few small tufts of hair left on her head. I didn't see the little girl, but it changed Layla's perspective. Soooo, we got that all cleared up! And today was hair cut day! You've never seen a girl so excited to get a haircut. The sacrifice for Layla was growing her hair for 6 months, not actually cutting it off. She is ONE HAPPY GIRL!

I had a post all ready to go.well, not quite (i have actually been working on it for the last few days, just never could get it wrapped up). but after tonight i thought i would start with something a little more "in the moment.". So i run in to get alaina, go to grab her things and see this big bag filled with stuff. i proceed to ask what it all is. she looks up at me and says, "you didn't come to my thanksgiving feast"! What a weekend we had! 160; This was a great tournament allowing us some pkaying time against teams we have never played before and the girls did awesome. The play was a lot more aggressive and tough on them than they're used to but they still made it to the championship game, although a little bruised and worn out! 160; Super fun. Welcome to The Madness! Tuesday, November 6, 2012. Knee surgery is done, now it's sit still and wait! There was more damage than expected so I'm a little more sore and will now have a longer recovery period, but I must say I have the most wonderful husband and kids taking care of me. I had some bone fragments floating in my knee, cartilage fragments, the mass they removed, and some damage to my knee cap so some grinding needed to be done on that! Monday, November 5, 2012. Here we go again.
