Hands Down Support Group (HDS) was formed in 1997 by a group of parents who met at Hand Camp, an annual event held for children with limb differences and their families by Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children. Those parents were inspired to initiate more frequent gatherings to help educate and support each other. Since its inception, HDS has grown to over 1,200 families all around Texas. The work of HDS is supported by tax deductible contributions made by individuals, companies and organizations.
