Hands On - Make: Electronics. Wednesday, October 6, 2010. Chapter 5 - Exercise 32 Update 3. I also need to get out my chip tester and make sure that voltage is detected on pin 3 that runs to the coil. Obviously, any suggestions my readers may have will be appreciated. Incoherent Musings: December 2011
http://willprice94.blogspot.com/2011_12_01_archive.html
Tuesday, 27 December 2011. TP-Link WR703N, OpenWRT, MPD et al. Finally, a post. I bought a TP-Link WR703N [1]. It's a little router meant to be used in conjunction with a 3G Modem, it works as an access point broadcasting a wireless connection allowing multiple devices to utilize the modem at once (quite a clever idea, however, not one I'm interested in using), hence I decided to flash it with OpenWRT [2]. CPU - Atheros AR7240 - 400Mhz. Wireless - Atheros AR9331 - b/g/n. Telnet 192.168.1.1. Option 'ipadd...

Saturday, 14 May 2011. Boolean Logic in electronics. I stumbled across this great website. In regards to basic electronics (for the AS Electronics course in the UK). Alas at the moment I don't have time to do much electronics or programming as I'm just about to start a month of exams, come the 20th June, I shall be back with hopefully some interesting posts! Tuesday, 10 May 2011. Friday, 6 May 2011. Focussing on them, but I'm not, because I like electronics more and I'm dedicated to my hobby.). Looks lik...

Incoherent Musings: April 2011
http://willprice94.blogspot.com/2011_04_01_archive.html
Wednesday, 27 April 2011. Learning Processing: Chapter 5.4-5.5. CHAPTER 5.4 - LOGICAL OPERATORS:. So, what on earth are "logical operators". Defines them as "A symbol or word used to connect to or more sentences in a grammatically valid way". So what properties do logical operators have, there are 3:. Is used to invert a boolean expression, so if we asked the question "Is the sky blue", NOT would return "false" thus having inverted "true". In 54 we write a simple program to change a rectangles colour whe...

Incoherent Musings: September 2012
http://willprice94.blogspot.com/2012_09_01_archive.html
Sunday, 16 September 2012. This will be my last post at this address as I've moved over to a new blogging platform: Jekyll. Jekyll is much more versatile and has allowed me to start playing around with CSS, HTML and gives me more flexibility on what I choose to do. I'm using github pages to host the new site and I'll be writing a little bit about my experiences in the near future. Http:/ willprice.github.com/. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Incoherent Musings: Gmail Notifier
http://willprice94.blogspot.com/2012/01/gmail-notifier.html
Saturday, 7 January 2012. 4 Years ago Tom Paton posted this. And I asked him about his code, thus prompting him to post this. 4 Years later, now finally equipped with some know how and a little bit more experience with microcontrollers and programming, I thought this a fairly ideal project to have a bash at. I adapted his python code to something a little more appropriate for my usage:. Here's the Arduino code:. 18 January 2012 at 04:16. 18 January 2012 at 05:54. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Hands On - Make: Electronics: Chapter 5 - Exercise 32 Still Drivin' Me Crazy!
http://handsonelectronics.blogspot.com/2011/01/chapter-5-exercise-32-still-drivin-me.html
Hands On - Make: Electronics. Saturday, January 1, 2011. Chapter 5 - Exercise 32 Still Drivin' Me Crazy! This circuit is still driving me up the wall. I triple-checked all my connections, but I'm fairly certain the connections are done properly as the motor behaves somewhat correctly - it spins forward until a microswitch is pressed and then reverses direction. but only for a split second. I used my logic probe to check the pulse on pin 3 but I'm honestly not 100% sure what I'm looking for. Ill examine t...

Hands On - Make: Electronics: Chapter 5 - Experiment 34 Circuit
http://handsonelectronics.blogspot.com/2011/01/chapter-5-experiment-34-circuit.html
Hands On - Make: Electronics. Tuesday, January 11, 2011. Chapter 5 - Experiment 34 Circuit. I got to work on wiring up the circuit that will be used - the most time consuming part was simply soldering some wire so it touches both leads (twice) on the stereo socket, but I think I got that part done correctly. After wiring up the circuit, I ran a voltage test to make sure the voltage regulator was working, and one of the photos shows the 5v clearly. James Floyd Kelly (Jim). March 11, 2011 at 11:09 AM.

http://handsonelectronics.blogspot.com/2010/10/chapter-5-exercise-32-debugging.html
Hands On - Make: Electronics. Thursday, October 7, 2010. Chapter 5 - Exercise 32 Debugging. Suggestions are coming in on ways to test or fix the problems I'm encountering. Let me explain what's happening now. I've inserted the diode that j suggested. works! First video below is WITHOUT the diode. Second video is WITH the diode. FYI - family visiting this weekend so I may not get much more work done on this circuit until early next week.). James Floyd Kelly (Jim). October 9, 2010 at 8:17 PM. October 9, 20...
