Handy Honey

Tuesday, September 10, 2013. Office upper cabinets and chairs. I added trim on the front. I once again used the long, 5-gallon bucket type stir sticks that are free at the Home Depot. These cabinets had a funny lip on the door.hard to explain. So my trim covered it up. But then, later when I added handles it was a bit of an issue. But no one can tell. HAH! I can't even explain it in a way that would make sense. Painted them "surfer" by Behr, paint plus primer. It covered AMAZING! Links to this post.

Handy Honey: March 2012

http://handyhoney.blogspot.com/2012_03_01_archive.html

Thursday, March 8, 2012. Organizing my personal pharmacy. The other day, the baby got his immunizations. I was gone when he really needed some Tylenol for his sore leg. My poor husband looked all over and had a hard time finding it. Well, really it isn't his fault since I had like 4 places it could have been. So I decided to make life easier on him. I collected all the stuff. And sorted it. And threw out everything expired. That I used when I organized the pantry. Writing on bumpy lids is hard. My grand ...

Friday, March 22, 2013. Semi-custom, semi-built-in desk area thingy PART 1. Do you ever have this problem in your house? You have "office-type" stuff in about 3 different locations in your house. It is quite annoying to have to look in 3 different places when you need something. I have been dreaming of having it all in one location. First order of business was to make them better looking. I scuffed them up so stuff could stick to them. I glued these with liquid nails. I made a height extension with three...

Handy Honey: August 2011

http://handyhoney.blogspot.com/2011_08_01_archive.html

Monday, August 29, 2011. Previously, my jewelry was organized like this. I decided that I wanted to do something that wasn't attached directly to the wall because then I could never move it to somewhere else in the room. Plus, I had been adding to my collection a little and needed some room to grow. First, I primed them because I certainly couldn't leave them gold. And painted them white. Then I twisted it around a washer to hold it in place. I had to throw them on too. I have plans to do something in th...

Forever Young: December 2010

http://foreveryoung01.blogspot.com/2010_12_01_archive.html

Thursday, December 23, 2010. Today the boys and I made gingerbread houses but instead of houses we made stables with the nativity scene. Someone had given us one as a gift and thats where we got the idea. I thought it was a great way to remember the true meaning of Christmas for me. It was really a lot easier then a gingerbread house too! This one here is one I made. See if you can guess who and what everyone is in the scene? This is Benjamin's nativity scene. Here is Matthew's nativity scene. Since ther...

Wednesday, April 7, 2010. Here Matthew and Benjamin are showing us their pretty eggs that we colored for Easter. Jacob missed out on this part, as he was napping. We did our own little easter egg hunt in the yard in front of the church building. It was fun, all three boys had plenty of eggs to find. We did plastic eggs full of candy. Jacob was happy with once he found one egg! His brothers helped him to get a couple more. Here they are comparing eggs! Sunday, April 4, 2010. Hanging out at the beach!
