I love to tell the story . . .: August 2013
http://momentsinmada.blogspot.com/2013_08_01_archive.html
I love to tell the story . . . Tuesday, August 20, 2013. I guess in my mind, that’s my self-image. The picture of myself that I think of as what I look like, and sometimes, to some degree, as me. Well, something interesting always happened to me on bush trips living in Mada. I lost that picture. On trips out, I could easily go a week without looking in a mirror, without ever being confronted with my physical appearance. But the best part was, no one cared. Since I’ve been back in the US, though, I&...
I love to tell the story . . .: September 2012
http://momentsinmada.blogspot.com/2012_09_01_archive.html
I love to tell the story . . . Thursday, September 13, 2012. Youth trip to the beach! The youth at our church are on vacation from school, which has been given me some special times to hang out with them! A few weeks ago, we took a little overnight trip to the beach, about an hour outside of Tulear. Getting ready for this was quite a production—I think we had enough tools, cooking paraphernalia and bedding to last us weeks! We grilled out the night we arrived, which was delicious! A few weeks ago, I was ...
I love to tell the story . . .: Horontany
http://momentsinmada.blogspot.com/2013/02/horontany.html
I love to tell the story . . . Saturday, February 2, 2013. Recently here in Tulear I had a new experience—an earthquake ("horontany" in Malagasy)! It was a small one, but we definitely felt it! It happened in the middle of the night, and so the situation was the talk of the town the next day! The most interesting part was everyone’s theories on what they thought was happening as they were awakened by the slight shaking . . . Our guard thought it was our dog, Maverick, under his bed, shaking it. Getting M...
I love to tell the story . . .: March 2013
http://momentsinmada.blogspot.com/2013_03_01_archive.html
I love to tell the story . . . Friday, March 15, 2013. The storm actually made landfall north of us, and passed through our area headed southeast on February 22. Along with a lot of rain, we had several hours of high winds. The next day, a river near Tulear (which I have only ever seen with a tiny trickle of water in it), overflowed its banks and flooded into parts of Tulear. Many, many homes were full of water and mud. I love to tell the story . . .: Since my last post . . . :)
http://momentsinmada.blogspot.com/2013/08/since-my-last-post.html
I love to tell the story . . . Wednesday, August 14, 2013. Since my last post . . . :). It has been shamefully long since my last blog post. No excuses . . . let’s just move on and I’ll try to catch us up! Watch out, this might be a long one! The Lord was incredibly faithful during and after the cyclone to help us recover and help as we could. Continue to pray for the many villages who lost much of their harvests, and for wisdom for our team. When I returned to Tulear, we had a celebration with all the s...
I love to tell the story . . .: June 2012
http://momentsinmada.blogspot.com/2012_06_01_archive.html
I love to tell the story . . . Wednesday, June 27, 2012. Happy Independence Day Madagascar! This year our island celebrated 52 years as an independent nation. And no celebration of this holiday would be complete without fireworks, glowsticks, food, and togetherness! My sister is here visiting me, and my friend Tahina from Tana is also here! We talked, and sang a few songs, preparing for the first item on our Independence Day agenda: the birthday party of an 80-year old woman! We prayed for her and sang s...
I love to tell the story . . .: July 2012
http://momentsinmada.blogspot.com/2012_07_01_archive.html
I love to tell the story . . . Sunday, July 29, 2012. Kids' songs, praise songs, fish songs, and songs you hear over and over . . . We had another great trip to the forest! This trip was a little different than previous ones for several reasons. First, my sweet sister was with me! Who knew what a workout “Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes” is? Another blessing of the trip was having the whole crafting group together, with some new people too! We also had some youth and children in the crafting group, and I...
I love to tell the story . . .: So, what's next?
http://momentsinmada.blogspot.com/2013/08/so-whats-next.html
I love to tell the story . . . Friday, August 16, 2013. So, what's next? It’s halfway through August. Five years ago, I started training in Virginia to go to Madagascar. Five weeks ago, I said my goodbyes in Madagascar, and came back to start learning how to live in America again. I have so much to be thankful for—let me tell you about how the lines are falling, the portions of blessing He’s continuing to pour out on me! He has done, and continues to do, great things! To stay connected to all He’s ...
I love to tell the story . . .: January 2013
http://momentsinmada.blogspot.com/2013_01_01_archive.html
I love to tell the story . . . Thursday, January 24, 2013. The Living among the dead. Recently one of my story-crafting groups and I were visiting the village where they share their stories. They shared the story of the resurrection of Jesus, in which there’s that wonderful line the angel says: “Why do you look for the living among the dead? I’ve always loved that part—Jesus is no longer dead! He isn’t to be counted among the dead—He’s alive! Tuesday, January 22, 2013. I’m starting seminary! New yearR...

Hannah in Israel | Freiwilliger Friedensdienst in Ra'anana, Israel
Freiwilliger Friedensdienst in Ra'anana, Israel. Nunja, was ist passiert?

May 28, 2014. May 28, 2014. Nach Weih...
Working in Lansing | A little blog about my time working in Lansing….cause I'm bored
A little blog about my time working in Lansing….cause I'm bored. Bull;May 26, 2011 • Leave a Comment. Well it rained pretty much all day. At work I started working on the new entries for the directory that gets published every three years. Its amazing how some people don’t know how to read directions! There were so many confusing or wrong forms that I had to go through. People just apparently don’t know how to film out a very simple form. Oh! And this morning I saw a bunny! It just stayed solid red!
Hannah's Adventures in Lesotho
Hannah's Adventures in Lesotho. Monday, April 23, 2012. We made it back to DC without the slightest problem! I must say, it is glorious to be back. As we flew back into Reagan airport, the monuments seemed more beautiful than I remembered. I went to the grocery store and was completely overwhelmed by the produce selection, so I did what any girl would do, I bought one of everything. I'll blog about those travels as well. Signing off for now,. PS, an old picture, but very DC of me.don't you think? We even...

Mali Adventures
Thursday, May 19, 2011. From my Journal May 7, 2011. When we finally arrived I was overwhelmed by the site; people had come from all over many had spent the night—there were carts as far as the eye could see. There were wood fires where people were heating up moni (millet porridge) for breakfast. Pray mats pointed toward Mecca as the sun was just coming up signaling Morning Prayer. This went on for over an hour. Then people went home cleaned, cooked and ate their findings! Big day in village. To get star...

Hannah in Mbinga/Tansania | Über mein Jahr in Afrika
Über mein Jahr in Afrika. Posted by Hannahunterwegs in Allgemein. Mambo liebe Blogleser innen,.
Hannah's Blog | Just another WordPress.com site
Just another WordPress.com site.
