Hannah Lamb: Catching up
http://hannahlamb.blogspot.com/2015/06/catching-up.html
Saturday, 27 June 2015. I must admit I laughed when I read the title of my last blog post. Although I am embarrassed it is so long since I last posted, I can't help but feel that 'rest' is the last thing I have been doing. As is normal for me at this time of year, the academic roller coaster reaches full speed and I am dragged along with it. Also have portfolios on Arts Thread. It has been a great pleasure to see things come together for exhibition and, as usual, the standard of work is wonderful. Textil...
Hannah Lamb: Archives and narratives
http://hannahlamb.blogspot.com/2015/04/archives-and-narratives.html
Tuesday, 28 April 2015. A couple of weeks ago I made a trip to Sunny Bank Mills. In Farsley, Leeds. The mill no longer produces the fine worsted cloth it was once renowned for, but holds so many connections with its manufacturing past. Large parts of the mill have been turned into commercial units but there is also a wonderful gallery space and an archive, which are both open to the public. How will I know what to look for? Which culminated in the installation 'Draft'. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Hannah Lamb: 'Stuff'
http://hannahlamb.blogspot.com/2015/07/stuff.html
Saturday, 4 July 2015. I recently spent some time at my Mum's house, helping her sort things out in preparation for a house move. She has unwittingly become the inheritor of generations of 'stuff'. You can interpret that word as you like, but I see it as a positive word. As an example we found this rather lovely envelope in my Grandmother's hand:. In case you can't make it out, it reads 'Grandad Lovejoys Treasures from his pockets'. So that would be my Great, great grandfather I suppose. You can also fin...

Kelly Michelle Norris: Olympic Torch
http://kellymnorris.blogspot.com/2012/07/olympic-torch.html
Tuesday, 24 July 2012. So the Olympic torch passed through Deptford yesterday, it was a great turnout. I never assume people where I live would really be bothered by such a thing. It was nice seeing everyone cheering and getting into the spirit of things. I wish I could have been able to get the Olympic tickets I wanted but I shall still be watching the opening ceremony on Friday. Hopefully it will make me feel proud to be British. A blog to share resources with my surface design students in the UK. Thursday, 15 March 2012. Surface Design, Snowboards and Thomas Campbell. I have just been made aware of the artwork of American artist and filmmaker Thomas Campbell. From an article on Hand/Eye. The article in question is about The Art of Burton. And discusses a current exhibition of snowboard artwork from Burton. So this turned me on to the artwork of Thomas Campbell. Which is much better than Thomas's website. View my complete profile.

Sunday, 15 October 2017. My current project, and in fact the project I have been working on for over a year now, all started with a trip to France, to the Tissutheque. Katagami stencils at Tissutheque. Since then I have made another visit to Roubaix to study the stencils in more detail. I also embarked on a period of creative research and experimentation. Originally I didn't intend this to be so extensive or to continue for so long, but such is the case when there is an open ended brief. Monday, 14 Novem...

I had a thought...
I had a thought. Sunday, October 15, 2006. Not using this blog anymore so there will be no more need to look! You may find me at spadgetastic.co.uk tho! Posted by Hannah at 1:35 PM. Tuesday, May 16, 2006. Popped out last night for a quick and quiet drink to relax ourselves after busy day of cabin-fever inducing revision/essay writing.
