Am Samstagmorgen ging unsere Reise mit dem Taxi los. Ein Taxi war schnell gefunden, das war kein Problem und nach einer Stunde warten machte sich Aufbruchsstimmung bereit. Dank der Hilfe von vielen von euch konnten wir eine Baustelle in einem der größten Schlafsäle erfolgreich beginnen und beenden. Der Boden wurde zementiert und auch die Fensterrahmen verputzt. Uganda hat eine Fläche von 241.040 km (im Vergleich: Dtld: 357.104 km ) mit 31.367.972 Einwohnern (Dtld: 82.046.000). Ca. 15% des Landes ist mit Wasser bedeckt: Der Victoriasee grenzt an Uganda, der Nil entspringt, außerdem gibt es noch den Albertsee, den Edwardsee und den Kyoga- und Kwaniasee. Bei mir im Norden kriegt man nicht so viel mit, ist ja ein ganz andere Stamm. Ich war aber in meiner Einfuehrungswoche dort und es war schon ein sehr schoener und interessanter Ort und ganz viele einzigartige Stuekce sind dabei verbrannt…. Antonia geht weltwärts – nach Uganda. Adwoki liegt an der Verbindungsstraße zwischen Lira und Soroti. Es ist kein sogenanntes village , sondern ein center . Das heißt, es gibt Shops, freitags einen großen Markt, aber die Menschen, die hier leben, haben alle noch ein Zuhause in einem Village. Während der Schulzeit leben ca. 2000 Menschen hier. Mein Raum ist in einem Gebäude mit Lucas Zimmer und den Büros von Headmaster, Deputy Headmistress und dem Director zusammen untergebracht.

Was macht man also am besten? Nicht viel, dnen man schwitzt ja schon vom Sitzen. Ausser der DED schickt einen auf ein Paedagogikseminar, um sicher zu gehen, dass man nicht zu viel Freizeit hat….
