Travel | HANNAHVIOLIN
http://hannahviolin.me/travel
I thought since I’ve been doing a bit of travel blogging lately it’d be fun to have a travel tab at the top with links to some of my trips. Mostly so I can go back and read about them if I like, but if you are looking for travel ideas, inspiration, or information, you might find it here. Phoenix, Sedona, and the Grand Canyon (May 2016). A few days in Phoenix, less than 24 hours in Sedona. Chicago (Spring Break 2016). Part 1: The Windy City. Part 2: Hot Dog Hats. Part 1: There and Back Again. Pre-Divorce ...
The Older I get | HANNAHVIOLIN
http://hannahviolin.me/the-older-i-get
The Older I get. July 3, 2015. Time just flies, doesn’t it? Not that talking about myself is hard! Simply that I’m a bit sleepy, and thinking about how I should be practicing or doing something more productive than blogging. Which is ridiculous, as blogging IS important to me, and is productive enough as it stands. My parents were in town yesterday and today Louie has a guest of the family visiting us, so we’ve been doing some touristy things. I’ll work backwards. Today we went to the Cahokia Mounds.

Category Archives: Random thoughts. July 14, 2016. I am a schedule person. I like having a schedule, and following it, and scheduling things, and knowing exactly how my day and week will unfold. To some that may sound rigid, but honestly, it’s what holds my life together. You can’t be a successful freelance musician and private teacher without being good at scheduling! Isn’t this why the calendar exists? Good news: right now Mackenzie (the dog! We’ve been working hard planning how to make this road trip ...
Deep Thoughts | HANNAHVIOLIN
http://hannahviolin.me/category/deep-thoughts
Category Archives: Deep Thoughts. June 22, 2016. Sometimes I get so sad, thinking about the poor kitties. This year I had to put down my dear Oistrakh. As well as Louie’s cat, Chloe. Several people have asked what I have coming up. For the summer, the truth is, nothing, performance-wise! Which is a little weird, but nice, and relaxing. I’m working on repertoire for the fall. In the fall so far there is some great stuff lined up: I’m playing a variety of Perseid Quartet. Stay cool my friends! June 17, 2016.

All posts by hannahviolin. I am a violinist. I also enjoy running, working out, reading, and hanging with my friends and cat. August 22, 2016. You know how when you’re out in the woods you hear weird noises? We were camping on our second night in Aspen, and I woke up in the middle of the night, or early in the morning, to hearing somebody throwing a bag of ice around. I couldn’t tell if it was in our campsite or not! At the Difficult campground, they gave us our own bear box. And we usually kept a cl...

March 21, 2018. I’m still playing catch up so I will tell you about my trip last week soon! Who I am kidding, my whole life is a game of catch up right now. Not sure how fun it is, and why I agreed to play, but that’s where we are. The week is going well. Not too crazy, and I have actually had some nice chunks of time to practice, and some fun rehearsals so that’s good! And I must remind myself that I am successful. I can’t possible be as busy as I am and not be successful, right? March 8, 2018. So often...
