What happened as we stepped into South Africa…. Is a township in Cape Town, South Africa. It was originally named Site 5 but was later changed to Masiphumelele by it’s residents. The word Masiphumelele is a Xhosa. Word that means “We will succeed”. The population of Masiphumelele was originally 400-500 people in the early 1980’s, when it was first settled but by the year 2010 it had grown to an estimated 38,000. So what does all of this mean?
