Sunday, September 11, 2011. We enjoy cooking around here. A couple of weeks ago, before school started, we decided that we wanted to try our luck at making Indian food! It was really fun and delicious. Because of this, we decided that we really wanted to try making a lot of other new things. So this weekend, we decided that we wanted to make French Onion Soup for dinner! Boy it was delicious! We even found a recipe that was French Onion soup for 2! Perfect serving size and everything!

Friday, January 13, 2012. Last semester of the rest of our lives. We're pure academia people in this household. But this semester should bring a lot of things to a close in our academic careers. Dan will be finished up his bachelors degree! He will also be participating in a NASA rocket contest. And hopefully his team will take first place! Monday, April 30, 2012. I realized today that I didn't actually ever announce where Dan decided to go grad school at. So here it is! We are staying at Utah State! There were a lot of different things that played into this decision. The main ones, however, were I'm not finished with my masters yet and there are a lot of great opportunities for Dan to do research in aerospace if he stays here! So there you have it! We are going to continue to be Aggies for at least 2 more years! I am so smart S-M-R-T.

Thursday, February 23, 2012. Uintah Basin Winter Ozone Study. For the last week and a half, and will end up being two weeks, I've been in the Uintah Basin, living out of a lovely hotel room and spending long days working. I figured since most people don't know what it is I'm doing, I'll do a little post about it, and attach a video that another group who is out here made about what it is. Tuesday, July 26, 2011. Easy peasy pumpkin squeezy! So this has nothing to do with pumpkins but it is really easy. Today we made what I am now going to call the Merkley Easy Enchilada. We again just took stuff that we had lying around to make it. All it is is chicken, black beans, salsa verde, sour cream, cream of chicken soup, cheese, tortillas and some enchilada sauce from the packets or whatever. Friday, July 15, 2011. So we love food here! But tonight we made stirfry with brown rice!

Monday, March 19, 2012. Wow I've been busy. Well, last update I did I was still in Vernal participating in the wintertime ozone study. Since then, I have:. Gone to Hawaii for the first time. Went to SWE Region Joint Conference (hence the Hawaii trip). Spent time with both of my brothers. Spent time with Dan's family. Went to the zoo for the first time this year. Celebrated Pi day with {Pi}neapple, {Pi}zza, oreo {Pi}e, apple blackberry {Pi}, {Pi} shaped sugar cookies and starcraft. Went on a bike ride.

Monday, October 24, 2011. So for Fall Break, Dan and I, and our friends Jeff, Michelle and baby, (and the USU Rocket Team) went down to New Mexico to the Navajo Nation! The rocket team were down there to do outreach to 800 elementary school kids about rockets and rocketry. They did an awesome job! Afterwards, we went to the Four Corners Monument! It was fun to see all the different booths that people had there. Baby even got a free bracelet even though he's a boy haha! I'll post more pictures later!

(Mostly for Dan.). Dan finished his rocket and got it launched in time to be accepted into the NASA USLI (Student Launch Initiative) competition.
