Our Two Year Old Child Aiden's Cochlear Implant Journey. Our son Aiden was born (3 months prematurely) on January 10, 2005 weighing only 1 pound 3oz (555 grams). At ten months of age, Aiden was diagnosed as being profoundly deaf in both ears. Aiden was implanted with a Cochlear Freedom implant on October 16th, 2006, and was "turned on" on November 20, 2006. Wednesday, November 11. I just received an email from Aaron, one our blogging buddies husband, to let me know Renee' from. A Path of Joy. 2 Peas in a Pod. Is in the hospital with multiple blood clots in her lungs. Aaron called this condition bilateral PE. Please add Renee' and her family to your prayer list.
