news from the tree fort: apple picking
http://newsfromthetreefort.blogspot.com/2011/09/apple-picking.html
Sunday, September 25, 2011. Yesterday we took our annual trip to Bishop's Orchard for some apple picking. We did not make cider after last year's debacle. Maybe by next year we will have our confidence back. We met some friends there and after wandering the aisles of the orchard in t-shirts and flip-flops for the first time ever, we took our party to The Green Frog for some heavenly sandwiches. It was pretty much the perfect summer/fall morning, as you can see from the looks of bliss on Sydney's face.

Emerald Life: Talking to Strangers
http://seaball.blogspot.com/2014/11/talking-to-strangers.html
Wednesday, November 05, 2014. Blake came to work with me today. After patiently playing in the big room outside my office, we had a lovely walk around Tangletown and a donut at Mighty-O. We passed a number of people walking, coming and going from their homes, and at each sighting Blake hollared, "HI! Usually multiple times until the person acknowledged him. Emerald Life: The Ballard "Up" House
http://seaball.blogspot.com/2014/10/the-ballard-up-house.html
Friday, October 24, 2014. The Ballard "Up" House. I've walked or driven by this house a number of times, knowing only that a little old lady refused to sell to developers. It's my understanding that this story was the inspiration for the animated movie "Up." It's interesting to know more of the story. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). A Festival of Hope. Emerald Life: April 2014

Wednesday, April 30, 2014. Sunday, April 27, 2014. How to Throw a Joint Baby and Bridal Shower. First, have two beautiful ladies (who happen to be cousins, as well as good friends) - one soon-to-be-married and one expecting a baby boy. Next, it's very helpful when they have a color in common. The expecting momma likes grey and elephants, the bride likes sherbert orange and they both like light blue! Use games that include both baby and bridal - decorate a onesie for the baby and undies for the bride!

Emerald Life: May 2014
http://seaball.blogspot.com/2014_05_01_archive.html
Saturday, May 31, 2014. Friday, May 30, 2014. Thursday, May 29, 2014. This year's Memorial weekend camping trip included fifteen "adults", four kiddos and four dogs. We returned to one of our favorite spots in Mazama, along the Lost River. Highlights for the boys were watching bugs, throwing rocks in the creek, snacking and snuggling, and helping around camp. We even got a little time for a ride together for our 10 year anniversary (thanks to Auntie Elyse). Tuesday, May 27, 2014. Saturday, May 17, 2014.

Tuesday, June 21, 2011. Sure I was just not understanding him. oops. I don't think I'm in charge of googling movie times anymore. But, we rallied. We went to everyone's favorite place, Dairy Queen and stuffed ourselves full of soft serve and regained our family unity under the fluorescent lights. A little bit of summer. How many friends can you squeeze onto a tire swing? Elias signals victory that summer and a huge smoothie have arrived.). Let the summer happiness continue! Monday, June 13, 2011. In her ...

Emerald Life: Gloria
http://seaball.blogspot.com/2015/01/gloria.html
Saturday, January 10, 2015. Quiet evening - Levi is at the Hawks game and a feverish little boy is finally asleep after snuggles and Tylenol. Today we celebrated the life and love of Gloria Bollens, a dear friend from our Keystone Church community. The church was packed this afternoon, a tribute to the many lives Gloria touched. She was such a bright light and we will miss her so much. Here she is at the Festival of Hope, on the left). Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). A Festival of Hope.
