fibrensemble-we love felt!: October 2011
http://fibrensemble.blogspot.com/2011_10_01_archive.html
Saturday, 29 October 2011. Felting - en francais! We spent a wonderful evening teaching felting basics in French this week. The workshop was part of the 'Festival de la citrouille' held at Centre Belle-Alliance in Summerside. And that pumpkin pie was amazing! Balls, ropes and cord bracelets with little felt beads are all good beginner projects. The heavier ropes make great pins! Tuesday, 18 October 2011. We thought it would be fun for you to see a few action photos from that Gaspereau Valley workshop.

fibrensemble-we love felt!: March 2013
http://fibrensemble.blogspot.com/2013_03_01_archive.html
Wednesday, 27 March 2013. Here we are, after a long day of felting fun, having a well deserved gin and tonic while modeling our new VINES scarves. We love wearing them as a single scarf to add color and pizazz but they are even more fun when worn in multiple strands! Hence the title Collectible Vines. A small selection of the colors we have on hand right now. Sunday, 17 March 2013. Beautifully transparent in the March sunlight. A closer look at that gorgeous turquoise creation. We are getting back to a felting routine this week. Louise has just returned from a few days at the first ever Festival Twist, where she took a couple of workshops and also gave a dying workshop. Now it is time to restock the island shops and start to work on a stockpile for the big Fair we will be at in Halifax in November. Sunday, 5 August 2012.

Monday, 12 November 2012. SPRINGTIME IN BUENOS AIRES - explosion of color. Little corner fruit and vegetable vendor - a great place to pick up new Spanish vocabulary and look at those mouthwatering colors! Food is not the only item here that comes in delicious colors. Spring shoes are wonderful! Louise was depressed because we did not find one shop that carried women's sizes past 40. Buenos Aires is a captivating city! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). fibrensemble-we love felt!: Spring Creations
http://fibrensemble.blogspot.com/2013/03/spring-creations.html
Sunday, 17 March 2013. We are having a wonderful time playing with new ways to use the leaf shapes. These are the finished versions of in progress shawls we posted in the last Blog. Notice that the two outside ones have more subtle color gradations since they were dyed after being felted. The middle one was made with our previously dyed wool/silk tops. Perhaps they need to be called Flower Petal Shawls instead of Seed Pods? Beautifully transparent in the March sunlight. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).
