Preparing for number 2…. NOT! Since my poor mum has taken ill, I took on the seemingly easy task of nannying my 3-yr-old nephew, Tomato*, while taking care of my little nugget. Handling two boys is non other than madness. We always wonder how my mom does it. Watch the kids, cook, clean the house, and the kids ALWAYS emerge happy at the end of the day. I suspect candy, candy and more candy. When you have multiple kids, these are the do’s and DON’TS:. 8211; Do use plastic crockery and utensils. Name has be...

Itinerant Bordeaux: January 2010
http://itinerantbordeaux.blogspot.com/2010_01_01_archive.html
Saturday, January 30, 2010. We arrived in Bangkok on Wednesday and have been non-stop eating ever since. Arriving back in Asia was like a homecoming. A very strange homecoming in a way. The fact that we left South Africa and was back in Asia only hit me once we passed a night market on the way to the guesthouse. I thought I'd be overwhelmed by everything, but instead everything just feels so natural and similar. Almost as if I have never left. I realized again that I might be happiest in Asia. Two colleg...

Itinerant Bordeaux: Dapper man at the market
http://itinerantbordeaux.blogspot.com/2010/09/dapper-man-at-market.html
Monday, September 6, 2010. Dapper man at the market. We found an awesome place and we've moved in and are settling in nicely. More about that in a later post. First, I was walking home after a coffee out through the morning market on our lane yesterday (! When I spotted this handsome gentleman walking a gorgeous Frenchie and carrying a beautiful traveler's palm behind an old lady zipping through the market. He said yes and moved in with the dog, plant and lots of style. September 15, 2010 at 3:08 PM.

Friday, February 26, 2010. Starting something, thought it could be fun ♪. If you're a fan of Goldfrapp. I am certain you are as excited as I am about the release of their fifth studio album Head First coming out next month. Listening to the first single 'Rocket' it sounds like they are moving back into dance territory, although it's said the album will be a mix of the musical stylings of the more folksy 'Seventh Tree' and dancy 'Supernature'. I Can Not. Wait. Links to this post. Tuesday, February 23, 2010.

Itinerant Bordeaux: July 2010
http://itinerantbordeaux.blogspot.com/2010_07_01_archive.html
Tuesday, July 6, 2010. Some foreigner I encountered on my travels long ago referred to South African food as bland and specifically noted potjiekos. As a good example of how bland it can be. I was rather unhappy about this unfriendly statement. I agree that some South Africans enjoy their food bland or over-salted, but we also have some awesome cuisine with influences from Africa, Europe and Asia. And potjiekos. Falls into the latter. Competitions taking place all the time. Was a chicken curry so I made ...

Friday, April 30, 2010. A Hippo for Maddie. After completing the mobile. For my nephew, Alexander decided we should make something for his two-year old niece, Maddie. He suggested a hippo and decided that it was also time for me to move onto something more challenging and make a three dimensional hippo. Yikes! Luckily he took it upon himself to make a pattern and quite the pattern maker he turned out to be. Later that afternoon she came over to drop them off. The embroidery looked super and it was ti...

Itinerant Bordeaux: Bjork!
http://itinerantbordeaux.blogspot.com/2010/08/bjork.html
Friday, August 27, 2010. Since Wednesday I've had Bjork on random on both my iPod and the computer. It has been a long-long time since I've listened to her, and now I can't seem to stop. I'm loving every second of driving around Hsinchu with her voice in my head. Beautiful. Here's some vintage Bjork for you on this lovely Friday. And then something more recent, a beautifully haunting collaboration with Antony Hegarty of Antony and the Johnsons. And if you're interested, go here. Time for a veedeeO. A Lif...

A lil bit of everything…made possible with love. Archive for July, 2010. July 22, 2010. Been meaning to blog after the long hiatus, but yah…let’s just rejoice for the fact that I got married on a beautiful day, to a man whose love. Faith for me is very touching. It’s been a month plus and I can really relate more or so how this blissful journey had been for us. Hard work ehh! The laundry, the cooking, the cleaning, the everything pertaining to our new home and ordinary life was not so ordinary after all.

A lil bit of everything…made possible with love. On something I just learnt…. We see and talk and rub each other everyday, so? Finally, we saw this…. November 10, 2009. Not your typical Malay movie….Must watch! There’s one scene where we thought Fazura and Aaron was going to kiss! And for the 1st time, I think of Aaron differently…(he’s hot larr)! And so does Maya Karin and that cute boy(Shahredza). There’s endless humor from the start till the end. Responses to “Finally, we saw this…”. Bob & Wirin.
