Little thoughts jotted down. Tuesday, December 16, 2008. I run for exercise. But let me clarify. I don't run because I necessarily enjoy it. I don't run with a trendy jogging group or at a fancy gym. I don't run for the commercial health benefits. No I run for vanity. But running for me requires endurance. I hate running. When I run, I argue, negotiate, bargain and even plead with myself. (I could make a stellar career defending those who didn't want to run just one more block.). Moral of my running?

I've sat and stared at the computer more than once trying to organize my thoughts, feelings, experiences, but it's almost too much for me to put into words. To me it is just our way of life. Far, far away I try to keep my family and friends updated on the "little" things that keep our lives exciting. Tuesday, February 27, 2007. Corri turned 12 this month! You know by the time we leave here she will be High School! This is crazy. What is even more crazy is next year I will have two teenagers and one of them will be driving. I might need to start drinking or something. :). Japan is sooooo far advanced on their electronics. She may not see the teenage years....

It's hard to believe it's been 15 years since I was first able to pin on his 2nd Lieutenant bar. Now Lieutenant is part of his name again just followed closely by Colonel :). It was nice to have a longer summer, but I'm not looking forward to it cutting into next summer. Aurora is a 4th grader and embracing being a Tiger at her school. She is enjoying it and working hard. He was so tired after a long day he fell asleep while eating, you can see food still in his mouth. Poor baby. Wearing daddy's gas mask. I walked into the kitchen and he had climbed up on the counter, opened the drawer and got a spoon. The peanut butter was still out on the counter, so he helped himself to a little PB! Why, why, why?
