Happy and healthy @ 225. Saturday, December 25, 2010. Yesterday was Christmas Eve. I cleaned house, set the table, got the ham ready, got the meatballs ready, blew snow from my driveway, etc., etc. I got done in the late afternoon so what to do with the rest of the day? Go for a walk! So I made the 30 mile drive to the sports center that I joined and walked a quick two miles! Boy did I feel good when I got done! Both emotionally and physically! I had exercised my body and mind! Friday, December 24, 2010.

Happy and healthy @ 225. Friday, March 23, 2007. HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S DAY"! I hope everyone enjoyed wearing O' the green last weekend! I'm half Irish and historically St. Patrick's Day mean't lots of green beer and all the traditional food! I still celebrate the day but now I make plans ahead of time so I don't undermine my program. About a week before I stepped up my walking and exercise program and paid special attention to my food intake. I had lost 5 pounds going into the holiday. I was very happy.

Happy and healthy @ 225. Saturday, September 01, 2007. Grand Forks Herald article. Wow what a response! Marilyn Hagerty, reporter for the Grand Forks (ND) Herald newspaper stopped by to interview me about my weight loss. She did a feature article for the Sunday edition published on August 19th. The response has been overwhelming. This blog received over 200 hits the following week! And I welcome your comments. I will answer each one personally. BTW my weight this morning was 223 pounds!

Happy and healthy @ 225. Sunday, November 25, 2007. Well I'm glad to report that I made it through Thanksgiving! We had the traditional turkey and all the trimmings. It was great. Everyone ate their fill and we had a wonderful day. I passed on the other stuff as I knew I didn't need it and I was very satisfied with my meal. Happy and healthy @ 225. Tuesday, July 25, 2006. And in the beginning! During a recent doctor appointment the subject of gastric bypass surgery came up. I told him that I had considered it, but didn't know much about it. We left it at that for the time being. I did some serious thinking after that visit and the more I thought about it the more determined I was to loose weight without the risks of surgery. On July 29, 2004 I had lunch at a nearby restaurant/sports bar. I had the half-pound cheeseburger.
