Beyond The Queen and Driving on the Left: British Stuffs Review: Cheese and Onion Filling
http://beyondthequeen.blogspot.com/2012/01/british-stuffs-review-cheese-and-onion.html
Friday, 6 January 2012. British Stuffs Review: Cheese and Onion Filling. Happy New Year and all of that. Blah blah. I really can't spend much time on a New Year's post this year because a) they are boring and usually filled with promises I will never keep and b) I have something much more important to talk about - cheese and onion filling. Cheese and Onion Sandwich. It makes your breath smell bad, but tastes so good! Just the good stuff! British Stuff Rating: 5/5 Paddington Bears. Labels: food and drink.
Beyond The Queen and Driving on the Left: May 2012

Thursday, 17 May 2012. All that talk about the weather. If you're new to this "living in the UK" thing (like within the past 6 weeks), you may think that A) it rains every day and the sun never shines and that B) the fact that it's been the wettest spring on record is the only reason British people talk about the weather all.the.time. Allow me to clear up a few things (and lazily recycle a post from ages ago):. A) It really doesn't rain all the time - see this old, but popular, post for "proof. Mythbusti...

Beyond The Queen and Driving on the Left: Mythbusting: It Always Rains in England
http://beyondthequeen.blogspot.com/2010/10/mythbusting-it-always-rains-in-england.html
Monday, 4 October 2010. Mythbusting: It Always Rains in England. I am sure you have heard this one. Everyone has heard this one. Everyone even seems to believe this one, but this is one of the times that everyone is wrong. In contrast, give the Brits a sunny day and they are practically skipping in the streets. They cheer up at the mere sight of sunshine as if they've all just won a part in a small lottery. So just how often does it rain? My good friend Wikipedia also offers some interesting. I say no...
Beyond The Queen and Driving on the Left: April 2012

Thursday, 12 April 2012. Guest Post: How to eat a Full English Breakfast. Absolutely brilliant article which appeared in the Guardian today. It's long, so I wont copy and paste - just go here and read it. Well done, Tony Naylor. I agree on all points except the following:. Drink of choice should be coffee. As this blog has already determined - tea is gross, with or without a delicious breakfast. Black Pudding should be banned from all future Full English Breakfasts (and every other meal for that matter).
Beyond The Queen and Driving on the Left: Immigrant Districts of London
http://beyondthequeen.blogspot.com/2012/11/immigrant-districts-of-london.html
Monday, 19 November 2012. Immigrant Districts of London. With thanks to the Telegraph, here is a visual tour of London's so-called Immigrant Districts. The "habit" of immigrants moving to areas with a large population of their own nationality is not at all unique to the UK, but interesting nonetheless. Does the habit of immigrants living in "immigrant areas" bother anyone other than me? Would you want to live in a Little America or {insert your own country here}Town? 25 November 2012 at 15:50. Happy New ...
Pencil and Box: PencilandBoxBooks

September 29, 2011. B asked me to make one of my photo-books, for her exhibition in Blaye. We went there, talked, ate, drank, and made a lot of pictures. The result is BARBARA À BLAYE. My first book on order! I only "charged" her with the food and keep while at her place, and sent her in exchange the book, free-delivered too. So a business had started :-). This offer is only available for Pencil. Box followers, so you better rush and become one if you haven't already :-). El resultado es BARBARA À BLAYE.

Decorate. Explore. Share. Wednesday, August 31, 2011. A few new finds. I know I have not been blogging recently (sorry Alice), but we've had some issues with this ole computer.and when it is working. The Internet is soooo slow.uploading photos is a real chore, so sometimes I just lose interest. But one thing I never lose interest in is hunting out treasures.and recently I came across a few beauties. I can't resist old red books and I thought that this pair were quite smart. Look at those spines. My poor ...

Decorate. Explore. Share. Thursday, October 4, 2012. One of the unforeseen bonuses of moving to the other side of the world has been the creation of my blog.and as a result meeting an amazing bunch of fellow bloggers. A couple of days ago, in London, I met some bloggers at an afternoon tea organised by Laura. Whom I first met last year. She picked an amazing venue called Sketch. A visual feast for bloggers armed with cameras. And got to know each other. There is nothing like a. It has it's own trapeze!
Robynne's Nest: January 2012

Decorate. Explore. Share. Friday, January 20, 2012. Recently we took a trip to Cambridge. Although Paul and I had been before, our son Josh wanted to have a squiz before he left. This time we decided to hire a punt and look at the town from the river. We arm wrestled our way to the front of the boat and laid back and enjoyed the view. The bridges were quite a sight in their idyllic setting. It's one thing to walk across them, but quite another to float underneath. Gives you a totally different perspective.

Wednesday, February 15, 2012. Here in New York we've had a extremely warm winter and in February warm weather is a wonder, (yes we've still had quite a few cold 20- 30 degree days! Anyway since we had some warm days my Papa put started tapping the 4 sugar maple trees we have in our yard. For those of you who don't know it takes forty gallons of sap to make one gallon of syrup! Yesterday was a beautifully cold , bleak and cloudy day were we live. Here's a photo showing what the weather was! Here you can s...
