Thursday, June 09, 2011. Headed to the Big Apple. Usually, Summer Spectacular (aka VBS) is late June. But with JD being one of the two top dogs for this event and having a baby due the last week of June, it got moved up this year. Yes people, our baby caused the date change. I am so thankful for this man and ALL he does for the Kingdom! JD and crew spent many hours preparing the worship room with environmental projection and decor. Doesn't it look awesome? Wednesday, August 17, 2011. We got Julia a present for fun. A medical kit. She's been talking a lot about doctors, shots and bandaids. And really liked Wyatt's stethoscope. So to make it extra exciting we decided to. Make a treasure hunt for her. She had loads of fun after she caught on to the concept! Here the girls are fast asleep, just after Andrea turned a month old. Julia thought it was so cool to have her sister sleep in her bed with her. Thanks to Dad for getting them both down! Sunday, July 24, 2011. For the first time, Julia let me take a blow dryer to her hair, and I was able to attempt to straighten it.it was hard to get the little curls around her temples, but overall it looked really good. She thought it was "beautiful", and she looked so different! We did it in the evening after an early bath. Then, she went to bed and her hair was completely curly again! Oh well. It was fun to play with her hair! Gotta love those curls and morning rats' nests! Andrea is 25 days old here!

Tuesday, October 12, 2010. The Great State Fair of Texas. Tuesday morning we got up and headed to see this guy:. We were in Texas during the three weeks of the State Fair. JD and I went back when we lived in Texas, but had not been back since. I thought it would be fun to head up to Dallas and teach LilE about the Texas culture, since she told me the other day she was born in Texas. (That one was kinda hard to correct. So glad she shares our love for Texas! Kama made those first two years so stinkin' fun!

I have heard horror stories about kids cutting their hair off at the scalp and we have been fortunate that has not been the case in our home. She told me it really wasn't much. Monday, April 26, 2010. LilE no longer naps. But we do enforce "quiet time" so Mommy can have some time to myself. Or nap. After I got up I told her I would help her clean up her room. I found this when I walked in. I just had to laugh. She had left her room, gone into the office, climbed up on the desk, found her scissors and her dollar bill, went back into her room, and cut her money into teeny pieces. At least it was only $1! Then we had a talk about cutting only paper. Not paper money. June 17, 2006.
