First response to a prompt is Musical | Being an Eccentric

First response to a prompt is Musical. July 23, 2015. In response to The Daily Post’s writing prompt: “Always Something There to Remind Me.”. I feel the main reason why music is so powerful is because it has the ability to arouse forgotten memories of the past to such an extent that the heart surrenders momentarily to emotions that one had experienced then. Each song on my playlist takes me back in time, either to very old days of my childhood or to the comparatively young and recent adolescent years.

August 2, 2015. As you see, this post was dedicated especially to my friends. The ones who have sailed in the same boat as mine, those who have sailed adjacent to me, providing me the luxury of companionship amidst the staggering waves of time and also those who continue to journey alongside me despite their own priorities and struggles. I thank Allah for these blessings. Happy Friendship Day! Painted by: Leonic Afremov. Thoughts can be Insidious. Religion vs. Islam. August 3, 2015 at 6:34 am. You are co...

Kismet | Being an Eccentric

August 2, 2015. Loved every word, from the beginning to the end! We lived in a tiny one-storied house, we had grape creepers and peach bougainvillea’s growing around the front door, which opened to a reasonably decent sized living room, with two bedrooms on the left, the one on the right was occupied by my aunt and a kitchen. When Baba went to work, my aunt would take over the house, she’d do all the household chores while keeping an. Religion vs. Islam. Reflecting upon ‘The Lunchbox’. A galaxy in my mind.

Reflecting upon ‘The Lunchbox’ | Being an Eccentric

Reflecting upon ‘The Lunchbox’. August 10, 2015. In a way, it is a blessing because there are always certain bitter things in life we don’t want to remember, certain life-changing moments of life we run away from. But I believe there are many more things which are obligatory for us to remember, the innocence of childhood, the vigour and determination of youth, goodness done to us by others topping the list. 8 thoughts on “Reflecting upon ‘The Lunchbox’”. What surrounds us affects us | Being an Eccentric

What surrounds us affects us. August 19, 2015. The few hours at the beach were refreshing. All of us were quiet most of the time. Apart from the munching sounds of the samosas we were snacking on, we could just hear the waves and the distant sound of kids playing somewhere around the area. We left when the sun bid us goodbye for the day and the sky changed its colours, preparing to accommodate the moon. 11 thoughts on “What surrounds us affects us”. August 19, 2015 at 7:38 am. Thoughts can be Insidious | Being an Eccentric

Thoughts can be Insidious. July 30, 2015. I also realized one more thing today, that no matter how educated and well-mannered, kind and gentle a person seems to be, these feelings of ill will towards a particular religion(s) sometimes clog their ability to view beyond the realms of faith and just judge someone based on humanity. What now, tell me, is the difference between such people and a terrorist? Level of extremism. That’s it. The Creative Blogger Award. August 15, 2015 at 9:38 am. Liked by 1 person.
