Here's how this works: you'll get a word on Wednesday. Then you'll have a week to write anything you want about that word, in your unique voice. Fiction, memoir, essay, poetry, anything. There are no rules. I started this writing exercise with my family. We called it Salon. We'd have dinner, and after dinner we'd read out loud what we'd written that week. Those evenings made us better writers, and we learned so much about each other. Now it's time to invite more people to the party.
