http://pearlmeringue.blogspot.com/2012/07/my-breastfeeding-story.html
Yesterday was my first mothers group and I was the. Member who doesn't breastfeed. It was confronting and very upsetting for me and its made me think about my breastfeeding story and wondering just how rare it is. I guess I had convinced myself that it wasn't all that rare and that there are lots of other women out there like me. Yesterday made me feel alone. very alone. Then when my darling Bubby was born -. With their baby, and yet that's exactly how she made me feel. Is something that is best for us a...

Hello and welcome to my new blog. Someone else I knew started one recently and I thought it was a good idea seeing as I haven't updated my livejournal. In over 4 months. In our bathroom we have a NASA calendar. My husband did his masters in astrophysics so needless to say he's a space nut. He's like one of those 7 year old boys who went through a space phase and never got over it. So while I'm in the bathroom I see amazing and beautiful pictures like these:. I look up and see. I might even see strings.

http://www.maidinaustralia.com/2011/10/mental-health-kindness-giveaways.html
Friday, October 14, 2011. Mental Health Kindness Giveaways! It's Mental Health Month. In Australia, and I've tried many times to write my post in support of the cause. I've written openly about my own on-again-off-again relationship with anxiety and depression, and the nasty major depressive disorder. That saw me hospitalised in one of our finest mental health institutions. I helped organise RUOK? And it all kind of drained me. So I'm not writing about mental health. And I won't stop until the. Baker's D...

A buoyant blog to cling to as you navigate the waters of life! Reviews & Comps. Jul• 31•12. Once upon a time, before Alicia Silverstone posed nude for PETA, a clever scientist called Rosenthal tenderly tended to a squeaky collection of lab rats. After the little rats scoffed down their delectable camembert feast, he carefully separated them into two groups. So which group do you think did better? The know-it-all rats or the Mickey mouses? Divided his rats into two groups. They were. Brilliant. Or not...

A buoyant blog to cling to as you navigate the waters of life! Reviews & Comps. Aug• 07•12. They say a picture is worth a thousand words which is a blessing in this case as this one left me speechless. I have admitted on this blog before that I avoid conflict. It’s not that the bull didn’t have an appreciation of the injustice and savagery metered out against him. It’s not that he didn’t want it to stop with every ounce of his being. It’s not that he was unable to match the brute determination of...For t...

https://happymumsathome.wordpress.com/2011/07/13/three-and-a-half-is-a-magic-number
Living the dream while raising a family. Happy Mums at Home. Three and a half is a magic number. Last week a blogging buddy of mine, Grace. Fellow mumma of twins and person I have grown to admire, had a bad week. Make that a sleep deprived with sick, whiny 17-month old twins, at-the-end-of her freakin’-tether kind of week! Three and a half is my magic number. By three and a half, my girls demonstrated empathy and a deeper understanding of human behaviour:. When I hit my sister on the head with the block,...

A word that evokes tangy cocktails with dainty umbrellas, lay-back lounge chairs and dusky-burnt sunsets as a backdrop. Do you see that too? Yeah, you do. Who has time to relax? Relaxation is equated with laziness in a lot of households. I don’t have time. Until, the time comes when we find ourselves inhaling...

A barrage of ugly, unwanted thoughts looping on instant replay. So often, the mind becomes overwhelm...
