Happy Valley Neighborhood Board Meeting Minutes 11/18. The meeting was called to order by President John Hymas at 7:00PM at Our Saviour’s. Neighbors in attendance were Hue Beattie, Yvonne Dean, Carolyn Herron, Wendy Scherrer, Richard Sullivan, Jim Spaich, Bobbi Vollendorff and Joe Deeny. Discussion ensued on recent property assessments in the hood. Nobody was very pleased with them and some people intended to challenge their assessments at the Board of Equalization. The Happy Valley Neighborhood Association. Sunday’s Happy Valley Garden and Art Walk was a great success, with 20-25 participants enjoying this opportunity to get to know the neighborhood and their neighbors better. The berries are ripe in the salal now, and the cafe is offering salal muffins to go with your coffee! From Bobbibrook, we went to the Hymas home where John showed us the garden, his composting technique and his chicken coop. And to Lenora Court to visit Rob McGregor’s back yard water feature.

Simply leave your appliances (stoves, washers, dryers, refrigerators, freezers) outside of your house; call Appliance Depot at 360-527-2646 to schedule. Our normal pickup fees are $10 or $30, depending on where you live. In addition, there is normally a $30 cost for recycling the Freon from refrigerators and freezers. We are waiving this fee as well.
