HERE IS YOUR LESSON FOR TODAY: PORTRAIT (1996 - 2001)
http://punknet.blogspot.com/2015/08/there-wasnt-much-first-wave-screamo.html
Rare punk uploads for preservation and education. So listen up real fucking good. DIY or DIE! Aug 16, 2015. PORTRAIT (1996 - 2001). There wasn't much first wave screamo that I got into, but this band seems to stick around in my music catalog. Portrait was authentic, that's about the most accurate thing I can say in regards to this sub-genre of punk music. Plus someone plays a viola, I'm a sucker for incorporation of "stringed" instruments into punk. April 16, 2016 at 10:35 PM. Other blogs I frequent.

I'd really like to read the earlier zine, PLAIN TRUTH ("FAVOURITE 'ZINE?

I booked this show on the Life's Halt / No Reply tour a couple days after the Philly show. As you can imagine with that line-up, it was a lot of fun. I still have an orange towel that one of those dudes left at my house that night. This may have been the first show I booked at the Sidebar. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).
