HardKnott Dave's beer and stuff blog: October 2014
http://hardknott.blogspot.com/2014_10_01_archive.html
HardKnott Dave's beer and stuff blog. It's about beer, well mainly anyway. Beer brewing, beer drinking, beer marketing and the retailing of beer. Monday, 27 October 2014. We're about to launch our Christmas beer. It's really stunning, but you'll just have to wait and see. First we need to get that business of Halloween and Bonfire Night out of the way. Once we've done that the Christmas beer will be released to the world. We recruited Scott, an American, earlier this year. We needed a solid and relia...
HardKnott Dave's beer and stuff blog: Being Above Board

HardKnott Dave's beer and stuff blog. It's about beer, well mainly anyway. Beer brewing, beer drinking, beer marketing and the retailing of beer. Saturday, 8 August 2015. It's an interesting time in brewing. With Craft Beer seemingly going from strength to strength the appearance to the outside world is that it has to be a great thing to get into. In many ways it is, and living he dream can be very rewarding, but not without it's troubles. It continues to be a problem for brewers to get their beer to mar...

http://hardknott.blogspot.com/2015/08/nucleated-mind.html
HardKnott Dave's beer and stuff blog. It's about beer, well mainly anyway. Beer brewing, beer drinking, beer marketing and the retailing of beer. Tuesday, 4 August 2015. I am fairly completely the result of an atomic age. My parents met when they both worked at Windscale. During the 70s and 80s there was significant media attention, not unreasonably, as a result of various problems at the plant. Back in 1957 there was a fire. That was fairly heavy shit, to be fair. It should never have happened and w...
HardKnott Dave's beer and stuff blog: Which Morrisons
http://hardknott.blogspot.com/2015/03/which-morrisons.html
HardKnott Dave's beer and stuff blog. It's about beer, well mainly anyway. Beer brewing, beer drinking, beer marketing and the retailing of beer. Tuesday, 31 March 2015. It seems quite a few people are pleased we've got our beer coming to Morrisons shelves. I've been asked a few times which stores are stocking. I emailed a couple of people, both of whom replied with a list of stores. Click here to get full list of stores stocking. This is possibly about: craft beer going mainstream. 2 April 2015 at 00:47.
HardKnott Dave's beer and stuff blog: Fast Cask
http://hardknott.blogspot.com/2010/05/fast-cask.html
HardKnott Dave's beer and stuff blog. It's about beer, well mainly anyway. Beer brewing, beer drinking, beer marketing and the retailing of beer. Saturday, 22 May 2010. New technology is a great thing. Anything that helps to make something better has to be good. Fastcask. I'm going to go off on one of my technical explanations on cask beer, conditioning and the role of yeast and fermentable carbohydrates in this post, so be warned. Real ale is a beer brewed from traditional ingredients (malted barley, ho...

Ben Viveur: London Pub of the Year
http://benviveur.blogspot.com/p/london-pub-of-year.html
Hi, I’m Benjamin Nunn – critic, gourmand and author of Ben Viveur. I like to eat and drink. And cook. And write. You might have read me in an in-flight magazine, or a beer publication, but here on my own blog I'm liberated from the editorial shackles of others so anything goes. There's plenty of robust opinion, commentary on the world of food and drink, and lots of swearing, so look away now if you're easily offended. London Pub of the Year. So, which is the best damn pub in London? Catford Bridge, Trafa...

Beer, Bar, Brewery: All is ago...

Beer, Bar, Brewery. A young persons perspective on the drink, the outlets and the industry! Perhaps somewhat tinged from consumption of the former. Monday, 2 August 2010. Never in life has beer been more hectic this! Aromas everyday. But, more than that, it has given me satisfaction! I can create, or at least attempt to- with relative ease- a product that so many people can't even dream of making. Most don't know the first thing about where beer comes from! Nevertheless, the amazing enthusiasm and excite...
Beer, Bar, Brewery: Chimay Blue

Beer, Bar, Brewery. A young persons perspective on the drink, the outlets and the industry! Perhaps somewhat tinged from consumption of the former. Thursday, 12 August 2010. Yesterday evening, having racked off and sampled the first tastes of my IPA (Cloudy, but tasty), I decided to begin research ahead of my next brew. Seeing as I have a Belgian planned, and that I intend to cultivate a yeast from bottle, I had an obvious choice to make: Which Belgian yeast to use? Sweet and Malty, or Sweet and sickly?
Beer, Bar, Brewery: Great British Beer Festival

Beer, Bar, Brewery. A young persons perspective on the drink, the outlets and the industry! Perhaps somewhat tinged from consumption of the former. Thursday, 5 August 2010. Great British Beer Festival. Well, what can I say! Thousands of people, hundreds of beers. could it ever be a bad day? Were exactly the same as last year. Inside, the stands had moved a little, the bars were reorganised and renamed, but everything was roughly where it had been the year before, give or take a few odd stands and such.
Beer, Bar, Brewery: London Pride

Beer, Bar, Brewery. A young persons perspective on the drink, the outlets and the industry! Perhaps somewhat tinged from consumption of the former. Monday, 9 August 2010. The thing about London Pride is, quite simply, it is my favourite beer of all time. To quote the late, great Dave Line, from "Brewing Beers Like those you buy,. If I had to select just one beer to drink for the rest of my life, it would have to be "London pride".". So, this is my salute to Pride, the best damn pint in the world. Great B...

HardKnott Dave's beer and stuff blog
HardKnott Dave's beer and stuff blog. It's about beer, well mainly anyway. Beer brewing, beer drinking, beer marketing and the retailing of beer. Monday, 19 March 2018. A catatonic beer industry. It continues to frustrate me that many commentators in the industry are heralding how massive the craft beer thing is, and yet stupefied by what appears to me to be an inevitable likelihood of massive attrition of many small brewers as they realise that making money at this daft job is the preserve of very few.

Hardknott Ann's Beer Blog. My blog about beer related things, maybe. Saturday, 24 March 2012. VitesseNoir - speed black or black speed is the strongest beer Hardknott have produced so far at 11% abv. Vitesse Noir was a dream concept of HardknottDave and Aletalk Steven. After consideration the Portman Group have decided to uphold the complaint which was related to the wording on the label.
