Friday, August 7, 2015. A Dream Come True: Part 11. Being a lover of Claude Monet’s work, having the opportunity to visit Giverny was thrilling. Monet’s taste in landscape was impeccable. My passion for the beauty caused me to loose the group for a while, but, while I was uncomfortable with being alone in a crowd, I enjoyed the ability to wander at will. The house and garden of Claude Monet. I recognized the sites of many of Monet’s famous paintings:. The pond of water lilies. His kitchen table was huge!

Tuesday, August 11, 2015. A Dream Come True: Part 12. Before we left Paris, we wanted to make sure we could visit Notre Dame. Somehow, we only just barely made it. We were literally the last people out of the church. But, it was beautiful, and we even got to see the last bit of a ceremony! The Portail du Jugement Dernier above the central doorway illustrates Christ the Judge and Archangel Michael directing the righteous to heaven and the damned to hell. Tuesday, August 11, 2015. A Dream Come True: Part 13. Everyone waiting in the Chunnel Station. On the left you can see me (in the black and white stripped shirt) reading my kindle. :-/ I was tired and probably feeling anti-social. In line for Customs. My first view of England! I believe this is St. Pancras Station. Unfortunately, I did not get to ride in one. :'(. The Poor School is a drama school founded in 1986. If I remember correctly, this is a garden in the ruins of a church bombed during WWII.
