Based at the Winkfield Resource Centre in Wood Green, it is funded by the London Borough of Haringey - as well as donations from the general public. Regular visual impairment awareness training sessions are held during term time for 5th year medical students who are completing their ophthalmology module. HOSPITAL SUPPORT AND INFORMATION DESK. The Phoenix Group is a registered charity, based at the Winkfield Centre in Wood Green which works with and for all visually impaired people in the area.
