The first program

Most programming lessons we will find, will start with a program called Hello world. We will do the same here. The program we will be writing will be a so called console program, and it will greet your customers with the message Hello world. So you want to learn a bit of C#? We will start by writing some very basic programs, which will give you the feeling you really accomplished something. Each chapter will close with some questions you might want to answer for yourself, to see if you understood everything before going on with the next chapter. Before starting I will tell you where you can get the stuff you need to get started, and then the adventure begins!

What do I need to get started? I will look only at the offerings from microsoft here, and we will see which one you might want to get. Don't worry, the priceranges here are from very expensive to free! If you are really just starting to find out if you want to program at all, my advise would of course be: get the free ide. I will be using it mainly in these tutorials, so you would be able to follow everything we do here with this thingy. You can get your free IDE from this place here.
