Turk burner head and Forced draft fan, Orion #2. Forced draft air is handled by this 240V Fasco centrifugal fan. RPM: 2600, Amps: .4, Diameter: 100mm. Getting the fuel/air mixture correct results in a surprisingly clean and clear exhaust stack emission for which the turk also needs to be up to temperature. 29 Nov 2013. The latest turk burner revision has the fan mounted blowing vertically downward. There is also a door for initial starting of the fire. In testing it made a fantastic "howling" sound.

There was a number of new parts to test including extra retort insulation, scale balance for weighing retort, additional temperature gauges, revised preheater iteration and turk injector pump nozzle tweaks. Backing plate was contoured and painted. Now welded into place. OK, I finally rearranged my workshop so I could have a dedicated area for Steampunk.
