All I have to say is: I broke a chair this weekend. seriously- just by sitting in it. We went to a Vendimia festival this weekend in Curico-Which is a harvest celebration-harvesting of the grapes- which really means-. Characteristics that make an amazing festival:. Monday, June 18, 2007. I´m sitting in my office at my desk. The sun is setting. It is peaceful and beautiful. Did you know I have an office or a desk? I love teaching. Rounding out the semester, I feel pretty secure. I know everyone`s names. They know mine. They laugh at my jokes (or pretend to anyways). They teach me spanish words I dont know, and I always, always, always have fun. And I have a first date tomorrow night. get excited! Tall chileans do exist. I hope you are having a beautiful afternoon.

Monday, October 8, 2007. I´m back online, plugged into the world again, and in touch with humanity. Well. . . that´s how I feel at least because I FINALLY have internet in my apartment! Things are good. I mean it really is crazy how different life is when you can point and click. For starters, I can blog again regularly. I don´t get rained on as much because I can look up the weather easily on the internet. Plus, I can study, look up fun facts, and listen to music. You won´t want to miss this!

Wednesday, October 6, 2010. A few months ago, I tried paper piecing for the first time. It was fun.kinda. Just not the sort of quilting that I am used to, you know, with rules and seams that have to match up and all. It was a good introduction though and I learned a lot. Mostly I learned that I'm not very good at it, but it didn't defeat me. Oh no it didn't. Instead, I just added a skulls and crossbones patterned piece of fleece as the backing and can't wait to lay this baby down to play on it.

Sunday, February 15, 2009. Viet's birthday was definitely a success. With much woo and little hesitation, he said Good Bye to his twenties. Thanks to all our sweet friends for making it such a special night. In a last minute adventure we spend Valentine's night driving to the Brentwood Rave to see Coraline. Luckily we also found a restaurant with less than a two hour wait (should have known Olive Garden). Now we are about to head out to Party Like an Ox. Hope your V-kend is going well.
