THE KC EYE: Behind the Eye
http://kceye.blogspot.com/p/behind-kc-eye.html
I've been a fan of newspapers and newspaper reporting for as long as I've been a fan of the Chiefs and Royals — since I was a little kid. I've always appreciated the importance, strength, and lastingness of the written word. Every Sunday before Chiefs games, my brother and I would fight over who got to read the. Sports page first. While having very contrasting styles, Jason Whitlock and Joe Posnanski quickly became something like heroes to me. Sports journalism became a dream of mine.

THE KC EYE: November 2011
http://kceye.blogspot.com/2011_11_01_archive.html
Tuesday, November 29, 2011. Pioli must find some humility. Almost three years into Scott Piolis reign as general manager of the Kansas City Chiefs, not much has changed — and the GM himself is mostly to blame. Tuesday, November 22, 2011. If the Chiefs want to win, they'll claim Orton. There isnt a choice here. Its a no-brainer. The Chiefs must make a statement to their fanbase and put a claim on recently-waived quarterback Kyle Orton. Labels: Kansas City Chiefs. Monday, November 14, 2011. Haith's past cr...

THE KC EYE: September 2011
http://kceye.blogspot.com/2011_09_01_archive.html
Monday, September 26, 2011. With Cassel, Haley is wasting our time. Im excited about our team. Had this been the third. 160;game, those words, spoken by Chiefs head coach Todd Haley after the teams 20-17 loss in San Diego, may have felt slightly more fitting. Instead, the Chiefs are 0-3 in the. Season, and proved nothing more Sunday than the disturbing fact that the team cant depend on its starting quarterback when they need him most. THE KC EYE: Allowing Bowe and/or Carr to walk would be indefensible
http://kceye.blogspot.com/2012/02/allowing-bowe-andor-carr-to-walk-would.html
Friday, February 17, 2012. Allowing Bowe and/or Carr to walk would be indefensible. If general manager Scott Pioli is simply sticking to a tried-and-true Patriot Way-stricken plan, then let me be the first to say the outline is utterly unidentifiable. Because it's hard to imagine the Kansas City Chiefs as an on-field improvement in 2012 without wide receiver Dwayne Bowe and cornerback Brandon Carr aiding the surge. What's sickening is that it looks as if Pioli is for real. Regardless of your opinion of t...

THE KC EYE: Chiefs' mediocrity is a product of the NFL parity-machine
http://kceye.blogspot.com/2011/12/chiefs-mediocrity-is-product-of-nfl.html
Friday, December 30, 2011. Chiefs' mediocrity is a product of the NFL parity-machine. The Kansas City Chiefs are mediocre. Nothing breakthrough here. It's been the case for at least a decade and a half now. The real question is. And more to the point,. Why don't they do anything about it? If, in theory, an average record in the NFL is 8-8 (. Of course it is. Then for the purposes of this blog, let's agree that anything between a 6-10 and 10-6 record should be defined as mediocre. What Clark Hunt wants mo...

THE KC EYE: January 2012
http://kceye.blogspot.com/2012_01_01_archive.html
Monday, January 30, 2012. Manning presents a golden opportunity for the Chiefs. Peyton Manning may not be healthy. Chiefs general manager Scott Pioli may not be willing. Past that, though, in-lies a golden opportunity for a team and quarterback whod each be crazy not to at least entertain the possibility of a future together. Tuesday, January 17, 2012. Babb's story proves these Chiefs are a sad joke. The worst part about Kent Babbs bombshell story. The Kansas City Star. The Kansas City Star. Craggs: My u...

THE KC EYE: October 2011
http://kceye.blogspot.com/2011_10_01_archive.html
Tuesday, October 18, 2011. Chiefs could make huge statement in Oakland. There arent a handful of minds in Kansas City who would have sanely stated this just two weeks ago, and even Ive been second-guessing the rationale here. But you know what? The Chiefs could make a huge statement with a win in Oakland Sunday. Friday, October 14, 2011. Chiefs have leaks in their ship. With the way the team started 2011, you would have guessed the Chiefs bye-week would have been a blessing to those driving the ship.

THE KC EYE: March 2012
http://kceye.blogspot.com/2012_03_01_archive.html
Tuesday, March 20, 2012. Only foolishness will allow Pioli to escape the Manning nightmare. The disaster scenario that arose as a possibility early last week, and has likely since kept Chiefs general manager Scott Pioli and owner Clark Hunt awake at night, has finally become a reality. Peyton Manning is a Denver Bronco. The world, as we know it, is coming to an end. Well, maybe for Pioli. Thursday, March 8, 2012. Royals, Super Fan Chris at odds after season-ticket squabble. Tuesday, February 28, 2012. The following video drives KU fans crazy, and only adds fuel to the fire for the Mizzou faithful. Monday, February 20, 2012. Pioli must justify decision to sign Routt over Carr. They want to believe the Chiefs arent cheap, and that this was the right decision. Its just, right now, thats merely impossible.
