I was talking to my mom on the phone the other day and she told me that earlier that morning when she asked Zoey what she wanted to do that day, Zoey answered, "Go to the airport and pick up Lala and Tato". If only it were that simple, right? A few weeks ago Mateo and I ventured our way across this country to my homeland [OHIO] where we spent two exciting, busy, full-of-love weeks with my family and friends in the Midwest.

Friday, November 22, 2013. A few of my favorite things. There is no purpose to this post other than I wanted to blog and felt inspired to blog about some of my favorite things :) So without further ado, here's a glimpse into this life of mine. My old boss, of the first family I nanny-ed for, gave me this candle about a year ago. I think its adorable and smells soooo goood! I have been able to delve into the Word a lot lately and it has been beautiful getting to know the Father's heart more and more.

Tuesday, December 17, 2013. Three years ago this posterboard letter tradition started with my friend Elizabeth when we met at Casa in Texas. Each year we get together and take "silly" pictures with the board. We have taken pictures together in Houston and Los Angeles, but she has gone even further to CHINA and GUATEMALA with the board! Tuesday, October 21, 2014. Than it did me. But the idea of no longer having to deal with contacts was starting to look better and better. All this to say, I got glasses! That I wear all the time. Haven't worn contacts in months. And I have enjoyed being a wearer of glasses and surprisingly didn't have any contact withdrawals. Tuesday, June 24, 2014. My teething, messy, bedhog. Say hello to this cutie :) It is hard to believe that our sweet little preemie baby is now 6 months old. Insane. It has been so fun watching him learn and grow! We fall more in love with him everyday. [All 18 pounds and 26 inches of him! This morning we started solid foods [BIG DEAL, right? He had me laughing. Thursday, June 5, 2014. Our cozy little one bedroom for three was recently transformed into a three bedroom for six and oh, was it FUN! My mom, sister and niece all came to visit Mr. Mateo! And us too, of course] It was a blast. A few snapshots from their time here:. It was a fun week and like always it was sad to see them go. Our apartment is so quiet and empty now that they are gone! Thursday, October 24, 2013. Not so little acorn squash. Our little onion is not so little anymore! Not sure what an acorn squash is but i know this baby is growing growing growing! We are 25 weeks now and happy as a clam! Those first trimester blues are gone and I'm feeling good! The baby kicks and moves all the time which is so amazing and beautiful to experience! For the longest time i didnt have any cravings and now all i want are sweets! Used to be donuts and now its ice cream! Only 15 weeks to go!
