Thursday, November 15, 2012. Kate's class made some costumes for Halloween and had a parade. Unfortunately, with the storm, it had to be postponed. However, it was just postponed and not cancelled. Aren't they just so cute? I love it when kids are allowed to make their own costumes like that. They really look great. Those cowboy costumes could be straight from Colorado, dont you think? Ben, Ruth, Ashley, Kate & Aiden: Fishing

Thursday, November 15, 2012. A little while ago, Ashley said she wanted to go fishing. Then, a few weeks later, our local YMCA announced that they would be opening the pond to allow fishing, so we took advantage of it. Ben was the only one who would touch the worms. Good thing he was there! Ashley loved holding the rod and reeling it in. Kate and Aiden didn't want anything to do with holding the rod. They enjoyed playing in the sand, though. We didn't catch anything, but it was fun nonetheless.

Friday, May 25, 2012. The idea of this book is to be pen pals while living under the same roof. I'll hide the book with a new letter in it under a girl's pillow and she'll reply and hide it somewhere where I'll find it. It's a place to ask questions, share ideas, jokes and experiences and an opportunity to express love and appreciation to a special little somebody. Monday, October 31, 2011. Nanni and Oompah have come to stay! Bryn cooked an uber yummy roast chicken in a bag for Sunday dinner. Yum. Felix and Savannah enjoyed some computer games. My friend, Kerryann and I took off for Somerset West on Friday and shopped up a storm at the most amazing Christmas market: Kamers vol Geskenke. It blows the socks off the German Christmas markets.
