In my kitchen. Out your kitchen. Saturday, 7 June 2014. My Teriyaki Salmon with Thai Sticky Rice and Chilli Lime Broccoli. Last night I made a fairly quick teriyaki salmon dish because we fancied something full of flavour but fairly light and I always look to Asian food for this! 1 tablespoon rice wine vinegar. 2 tablespoons clear honey. 3 tablespoons dark soy sauce. 1 garlic clove, chopped. A chunk of ginger, chopped (about double the size of your garlic clove). A handful of tender stem broccoli. The br...

In my kitchen. Out your kitchen. Saturday, 24 May 2014. Italian Buffet Leftovers Three Ways. A couple of weeks ago I cooked an Italian Buffet. For the girls (which mostly consisted of pizza! And I had a fair few left over ingredients. There was a couple of chicken breasts left from the Chicken Pesto Pizza, some pasta salad, mushrooms, salsa (from the crisp dipping that always occurs on girls night! And this is how I did it. Give it a good twist of salt and black pepper as well. Simmer away then add the o...

In my kitchen. Out your kitchen. Monday, 10 February 2014. Nick 'n' Mix Cake. This weekend I popped up to Birmingham for a friend's birthday, a friend that just happens to love all things sweet, particularly the childhood favourite pic 'n' mix! So a friend and I spent Saturday making this cake for him based on a very basic (but pretty damn good! Victoria sponge recipe adapted from the Love Food Cakes. Book (published by Parragon Books) and some decorating inspiration from Google images! 6 eggs, beaten.

In my kitchen. Out your kitchen. Monday, 27 May 2013. Keepin' it Simple Paella. Paella is one of those dishes that tastes exquisite when cooked traditionally, in a huge pan with loads of different sea food and complex, rustic flavourings. I also think it can be bloody delicious cooked nice and simple with a few key ingredients. For me, a chorizo and prawn combo captures the typical flavour of the dish, so I don't bother/can't afford to add in all the mussels or even chicken! Small white onion, chopped.

In my kitchen. Out your kitchen. Sunday, 9 March 2014. A Manly Steak Dinner! First of all, I want to apologise for my lack of blogging over the last few weeks -I'm a total idiot and fell asleep with my laptop on my bed. it fell off and has completely broke. I even got a techy friend to have a look and it seems it cannot be fixed so I am currently laptopless and will have to sneak in a quick blog whenever I get chance on someone else's! So frustrating because I've got sooo much to share with you! Add some...

http://inmykitchenout.blogspot.com/p/about.html
In my kitchen. Out your kitchen. I love to whip up something scrummy, experiment, make a mess. I love cookbooks for inspiration, recipes, and temptation. Sometimes I spend hours planning and detailing. Or more often I just throw the contents of my fridge in a pan and see what happens! Out of my Kitchen. And all-round food fan, I love being in my kitchen and out. This blog will review some of the books I use, restaurants I eat in, and share some of my own recipe successes (and some failures! Lots of other...

In my kitchen. Out your kitchen. Monday, 24 June 2013. Beet Soup and Krakow Style Pork. Interrail Stop Number 2. Our second city stop was the lovely Polish city, Krakow. We toured around the castle, admired the Old Town streets, square and market, as well as paying our respects in a visit to Auschwitz (which was truly haunting but I would strongly recommend it as I learned so much from our tour guide and cannot begin to describe the scale and feel of the place in words or photos). The stroganoff was good...
