Harris's in Alaska. October 29, 2016. Last week I was able to go to Anchorage for the week and take a sip of “normal” life. I did what we in the bush all do when we get to Anchorage, got a haircut, watched a movie, shopped for supplies, and ate every yummy thing I could! Harris's in Alaska. December 19, 2016. Dave’s Snow-Go Adventure. Yesterday Dave got to go to two of the villages in our borough for the first time! His buddy Elliot is from Selawik so they were traveling there, but went through Noorvik on the way there and the way back. They left around 11 yesterday morning but did not make it home until after 5 this morning. Yes, yes I was worried. Now keep in mind, the majority of the time they traveled. And what about bears? Here’s the view form the laundry-room window, shortly after I found out there was no work…. The email for no work came out shortly before 7am and Dave, happily, went to bed. He’d been staying up in-case I did have to work. He wanted to walk me over to make sure I got there safely, sweet man. While that power line is still in tact (yay!
