A Home For Elena. Tuesday, August 4, 2009. Lucy makes some friends. Lucy seems to be more comfortable with us and has shown more energy and excitement since her first day with us. When we get home after work, she greets us excitedly, jumping around and playing. One night she even gave me a series of barks because she got so excited, which is definitely abnormal for her, since it was the first time we heard her make a sound. Sophie The Foxhound Wants A Home. Tuesday, April 14, 2009. Sophie was a poor, scared, super shy foxhound mix. She was a stray and brought to a rural VA shelter. Homeward Trails was able to rescue her and you would think that that would be the start of a happy story for Sophie but no, there was more in store for our heroine. Abby Rose Looking For The Road Home. Thursday, September 10, 2009. Abby spends the day with a beagle friend. Abby hung out with our neighbor and her rescue beagle, Porthos. The girls had a nice morning and went for walks. Abby is really great with other dogs and I'm hoping this one-on-one experience will help any loneliness she may feel. It was wonderful to see. A Home For Elena. Friday, July 24, 2009. This morning, she greeted us with an enthusiastic thumping of her tail. After a quick potty walk, she once again devoured her food, a half serving of dry food and a half serving of wet food. Then she spent the morning sniffing around, getting to know her new digs.
