Folk Art Papercuts by Suzy Taylor: November 2013
http://suzy-taylor.blogspot.com/2013_11_01_archive.html
Tuesday, 5 November 2013. I've been asked to create a large commission as a surprise anniversary present for a couple, depicting their children and grandchildren. It's quite a complicated piece, incorporating many different elements. The challenge on this piece was very much the designing of it. I've started cutting it and I think it looks like it's going to be ok, thankfully! Posted by Suzy Taylor. I finished the first Turtle and managed to get another one done as well! http://suzy-taylor.blogspot.com/2015/02/how-to-make-your-papercut-into-colour.html
Sunday, 1 February 2015. How to make your papercut into a colour print in Photoshop. If you're selling your papercuts, you might want to add another string to your bow by adding colour prints to your offering. It's not hard to make your papercuts into colour prints, but you do need to have a scanner and Adobe Photoshop. I only have Photoshop Elements, which is a very abridged version, but it's absolutely fine for this particular purpose. You then want to make sure that this area is completely black. ...

Folk Art Papercuts by Suzy Taylor: February 2013
http://suzy-taylor.blogspot.com/2013_02_01_archive.html
Saturday, 16 February 2013. I've been commissioned to create this Polish phrase for a client in the US. The brief is to start with a fully cut letter 'N' and then for each successive letter to be gradually less and less cut until the final letter which will be a solid 'E'. Each letter is approximately 8" tall x 4" wide - so quite a big project. So far I've done the 'N' and the 'A' and have started drawing out the 'Z'. Here are the progress photos. Friday, 16 August 2013. Today I've made a start on my latest commission - a family tree. I've been sent 14 profile photographs and my task is to put them into a tree, together with a baby in a hanging crib and the family cat. Here is my initial drawing. I have decided on the placement of the portraits and now I've got the fun part of drawing in all the leaves, birds, names and any other little critters that take my fancy! Should be a fun one. Sunday, 23 February 2014. How to mount a papercut - the easy way! Probably one of the most frequently asked questions I get, is how on earth do I mount my work - as they're so fragile. Well, after many experiments, this is the most trouble-free method I have worked out and doesn't involve spray-mount or handling a sticky, gluey papercut. Fool-proof! 2 Lay your template piece of paper on the table and place your papercut ( right side facing down. 5 Turn over your paper and VOILA! 6 If any parts of your pa...
