Well, Easter has come and gone, weekend of May 1st. The celebration here is more focused on religion and family than on Easter egg hunts, chocolate bunnies, and live rabbits or chickens. We got up around O-Dark 30 (5:30am) to go to church and have the Easter baskets blessed as well as each person. On the way to church. Host father, mother and son.

Yes it has been four weeks, seems like four months. Language t raining is intensive: This is our Language and Cultural facilitator (LCF) Deana. Anyhow, on to more fun stuff. One of our assignments was to buy food and prepare a meal. Buying food from street vendors. Alan negotiating for potatoes. Put a small handful of potato mixture in the frying pan.

To Be Decided at a Later Time. Thursday, September 18, 2014. I’ll Be Back! So as of September 16. I have been in Macedonia for two full years. Overall, I think I am really pleased with my time here. Some people from our group of volunteers have gone back early (for various reason) but the vast majority of us have remained to finish out our service. Some people from our group are even extending for anywhere from a couple of months to a full year! So my official COS date is October 29. I read a lot more now.

To Be Decided at a Later Time. Monday, September 16, 2013. Well, we have finally hit that milestone – I have been here for an entire year. Can you believe it? The time has gone by fast, as it always does, and so I am here with only 15 months remaining. I say only 15 months because I do not see the end of that time as something far away. This first year has gone by so fast that this next one is going to go by just as fast is not even faster! I can also explain card games (like Nertz and Spit) to kids.

I rather be out there shooting things and mucking around in Lightroom than trying to upload and tidy this thing… haha. Anyway I really think this 35mm will be my everyday lens from now on, on my crop body this thing will be an awesome 50mm equivalent, so yeah… please visit here again some time in the future.
