As some of you may know from following me on Facebook and Twitter, I bought some new gear lately and my website development is in the works so this blog will then become a section of that. I've also added new editing packages which are pretty fun to work on and produce even more artistic photo options. For the bride and groom. Right under my Nose.

The right light and a light write. Cuteness in Ribbons and Bows. Monday, February 28, 2011. Posted by Sandra Finner. The bride and groom are certainly THE. Most photographed people at a wedding but who can resist the cuteness of the flower girl and ring bearer as they head down the aisle? There is such randomness to their decent. Zigging, zagging, stopping, running, on the verge of tears or acing their rehearsal moves. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). There was an error in this gadget. If You Build It.

The ones that hint that this beautiful, fabulous, amazing summer we've had is creeping slowly away. You know it's happening when the A/C has been off for over a week, the evening sky is dark by 8pm and you feel the need to cook a Sunday night roast dinner . in the oven! It's going to happen. It's going to leave us. Links to this post. Sunday, August 15, 2010. Dress...

The right light and a light write. Wedding Reception - Jamie and Kyle. Saturday, October 23, 2010. Posted by Sandra Finner. Recently I did a shoot for a young family, their toddler and newborn baby boy. I was thrilled that they liked the pictures and asked if I would photograph their upcoming wedding reception. I probably said "Sure" but what I actually said [with my inside voice] was more like ". OMG ARE YOU KIDDING I WOULD LOVE TO! Oh, and I think Uncle Jim might have proposed to me? Links to this post.

Laquo; Low Tech Lighting. Sport Sessions Photo Challenge. This was one of the photo workshops I attended this summer that was led by local photographer Harry Nowell. It involved 3 nights of shooting and a follow up critique session. If you haven’t taken one of Harry’s courses, I highly recommend taking one if you’re looking for a photo course. He is a great teacher and his workshops are always fun. His workshops get a lot of positive feedback for good reason. Below are a few shots from the cycling races.

As the practice continues on fine tuning my style and working with new techniques I've been dabbling a bit more in some portrait work. I like to find new ways of presenting a familiar subject and although it's so different than landscapes, it's actually pretty fun when you get results you're happy with on the first shot.
