It splits my heart wide open all over again. The calloused and jaded side of me instantly wondered what's the point? What's the point when its so short? I will always struggle with the brevity of it all though. It's easy to be okay with the shortness of the butterflies' lives. Harvesting Joy: March 2015

http://www.harvestingjoys.blogspot.com/2015_03_01_archive.html

Friday, March 6, 2015. I have been misplacing things all week long. Names, dates, car keys, wallets. It's been a little crazy. At least I haven't lost any kids? I'm just off. I keep thinking St. Patrick's Day is Tuesday, but it's not. It's 11 days away, in case you don't know. And really, if you read my blog, um, you should probably know that date. It's slightly important to my crazy Irish person and family. Did I mention that I'm only Irish by marriage? Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). And now he is in heave...

Harvesting Joy: Momentum

http://www.harvestingjoys.blogspot.com/2015/07/momentum.html

Friday, July 31, 2015. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Welcome to Harvesting Joy. I started this blog as my personal therapy as I learn how to cope with losing my beloved son, Jameson. Jameson was beautiful and wonderful and everything that was right in the world was in him. His smile really could light up a room and everyone who ever had the privilege to meet him has been forever changed by his beauty and love and happiness. He was so brave and so cute and so full of love and life. It is not always ...

Harvesting Joy: Time

http://www.harvestingjoys.blogspot.com/2015/04/time.html

Tuesday, April 14, 2015. I've been sitting here with the cursor blinking, eating Reece's Pieces and drinking Irish breakfast tea, looking out the window and wondering how in the world to start. I used to dream about making this writing thing a career and now I'm lucky if I can find the time, energy and patience to write once a month. As if her presence makes it all alright. I used to fight it. But she's my girl. And I know this time won't last forever. I shudder to think about what high school be like.

Groves Family Happenings

http://grovesfamilyhappenings.blogspot.com/2013/11/im-sitting-here-while-lily-is-at-school.html

Friday, November 15, 2013. My children are amazing and entertaining and frustrating and amazing and infuriating and fantastic and crazy and my whole life. And some days are so long. Some days seem like they will never end. But I realized I don't want to wish these days away. I don't want a clean, well decorated house as much as I want my kids to stay little as long as possible. Groves Family Happenings: Things I Would Tell My 17 Year Old Self

http://grovesfamilyhappenings.blogspot.com/2013/07/things-i-would-tell-my-17-year-old-self.html

Friday, July 26, 2013. Things I Would Tell My 17 Year Old Self. 1) Don't get fat. Keep working out and watch what you eat. Don't be super crazy about it, but all those extra pounds will be a lot more work to get off than just maintaining. While you are at it, take better care of your health in general. Sleep in important as is mental health. Take a break when you need to. There are so many amazing places in the world and if you think you will travel later you are probably wrong. Before you know it yo...

Groves Family Happenings: I Believe...

http://grovesfamilyhappenings.blogspot.com/2013/07/i-believe.html

Thursday, July 25, 2013. I believe a cup of coffee and a crispy salted oatmeal white chocolate cookie is the perfect breakfast. I believe yoga pants and an oversized sweatshirt is the perfect comfy attire. I believe reading is vital and a good book can change your world. I believe 60 degrees and sunny with a slight breeze is the perfect temperature. I believe there is nothing more important than family. I believe my children will change the world. I believe my husband was specifically designed for me.

Groves Family Happenings: These Days...

http://grovesfamilyhappenings.blogspot.com/2013/09/these-days.html

Thursday, September 5, 2013. Long time no post. I look back to when Lily was a baby and I see that I posted almost daily, sometimes twice a day. But then.well.life got busy. But out of no where, I find myself with three hours to my self most afternoons. Now that we have settled into our routine, I am committed to posting more often, even if only for myself! At 8500 feet it can easily get into the 30s. I thought I had us well bundled the first night, but I was so wrong! The second night was much better, t...

Groves Family Happenings: Catch Up?

http://grovesfamilyhappenings.blogspot.com/2014/01/catch-up.html

Sunday, January 12, 2014. Yes, I know it really probably is! She wants to take karate, so we are looking into that. Man, it is an expensive hobby though! I need to keep looking but the places I have found so far seem pricey! All I know for sure is it is so freaking dry and my hands and feet are suffereing! So this has been all over the place. I will end with the promise to post more. Maybe this time I'll follow through. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). FEEDJIT Live Traffic Map.

Groves Family Happenings: Just Another Day in Paradise

http://grovesfamilyhappenings.blogspot.com/2013/10/just-another-day-in-paradise.html

Thursday, October 24, 2013. Just Another Day in Paradise. The girls are playing in the back yard and I am making dinner, watching them out the kitchen window. My house is moderately clean and Matt will be home from work soon. Earlier today I walked Lily to and from school, just like I do everyday. It strikes me that although my life isn't perfect, it is pretty darn good. I am more or less living my dream! Isnt it funny how some days really come together and show us ho perfect life really is?

Groves Family Happenings: Photos From My Phone

http://grovesfamilyhappenings.blogspot.com/2014/02/photos-from-my-phone.html

Tuesday, February 4, 2014. Photos From My Phone. Elsa has been here. I was afraid this huge icicle was going to tear the gutter off, but I was also afraid that if I knocked it off I would tear the gutter off. Luckily it fell on its own with a deafening crash that scared the crap out of me. It's growing nicely again already. I put Margie's hair in a little braid the other night when she got out of her bath. I swear there is nothing better than a cup of coffee and a homemade cookie or ten. It is a perf...

Harvesting Knowledge Academy | Homeschooling Anytime Anywhere

Design a Homeschool Curriculum. Weekly Review on the Computer. September 29, 2008 — SSnelling. Every Monday we start off with a review of what we learned last and the books we read. Usually I do this with short quizzes using the dry erase side of the easel and props like letter/number magnets, and flashcards. I used MS Paint to draw a square and a circle. I asked Autumn to select the red color on the color pallette and color the square a square paintbrush. Some of her coloring was way outside the...Hope ...
