They're a code smell. They need to have a reason for existing. A task I find myself repeating a lot to achieve this is breaking apart Ruby blocks and hashes into multiple lines, with a combination of jumping forward, entering insert mode, and hitting enter. Turning this:. January 11, 2017. January 5, 2017. There...

Flight student tracking and projection. The quality of developers is second to none. Were extremely happy, and if it wasnt for the help of Hashrocket and a very professional development team, we would never have pulled our project off in less than 6 months. Their quality of developers is second to none. They did a great job really understanding our business and implementing the value we wanted to see in order to make our app most useful to the airlines. Justin Dennis, Vice President, ATP Flight School.

Ultimate Tennis | Ruby on Rails and mobile design & development | Hashrocket
https://hashrocket.com/clients/ultimate-tennis
The premier flex tennis league. A league that had outgrown its software. Ultimate Tennis came to us with a tremendously successful tennis league network, and existing desktop-based management software that wasnt scaling to their needs. We handled initial design and UI consultation for their players website, and full development for both the public-facing side as well as the administration tools. Automating competition (and community). Flight student tracking and projection. Web analytics made easy.

Debugging Action Callbacks (aka Filters) in Rails. Posted by Dorian Karter. Rails provides before and after actions in controllers as an easy way to call methods before or after executing controller actions as response to route requests. Action Callbacks can be particularly helpful when implementing authentication/authorization for example, and are heavily used by gems such as Devise. Mocking Requests in Elixir Tests. Jim 'Big Tiger' Remsik. In this corner…. 2009 Dec 12 – Jacksonville Beach, FL. Finally got my Escali (high capacity) Scale. In the mail. Weighed in at 343 lbs. Additional motivation came in the form of a trip to the clinic for a persistent cough. Doctor was less concerned about the “asthmatic bronchitis” (read: pnuemonia) than my blood pressure. So, back on meds for the blood pressure and a new goal to get off of them. Not that I achieved that before, rather I just quit taking them.
