In my paintings I explore fantastical, historical, and social narratives that often reflect something of my own persona or emotions. Raising a family comes with many demands on my time, and because of this I am not in the studio as much as I would wish, but the creative pulse remains nonetheless for future possibilities.

I usually take photos and work from those, and in the old days I would go out and paint on location. This is the first of two blogs on two paintings worked from memory.
