Thursday, July 29, 2010. Tubing, dam crossings, and more tubing. I think we spend most of the afternoons tubing.it's what the kids love the most! We have tried every combo and even all 4 at a time. They truly could do this all day long! Today though, we made our annual trip to the Vermilion Dam and had a fantastic time, as usual. We made many crossings back and forth across the dam, then enjoyed some ice cream on the deck. Sunday, July 25, 2010. Picture perfect day on the Lake today! Back to the Lake.

Monday, August 17, 2009. Chloe and Samuel went back to school last Wednesday and they came home that afternoon proclaiming that, "3rd Grade ROCKS"! So I take that as a good sign that it will be a great year. Samuel is most excited about the science table in 3rd grade so we spent the first afternoon collecting cicada exoskeletons. Saturday, July 24, 2010. The mornings at the lake are usually cool and sometimes rainy. We take advantage of that time by going to get scones at Sulus or just reading and relaxing. But after lunch it usually gets just gorgeous and that's when the fun begins! We've been doing a lot of tubing, boat rides to Timbuktu, and jumping on the trampoline. Saturday, October 31, 2009. One of my favorite holidays mainly because I like the fall season so much. This year the girls asked a couple of friends to come and trick or treat with them. So I made a whole bunch of fun Halloween dinner items for them before they went out and collected pounds upon pounds of candy. How is it that they each come home with more candy than I even bought for us to hand out? Isabel and her friends: Kaila, Lacey, and Madelyn. Chloe and her friends: Mikayla and Audrey.

Monday, September 14, 2009. A Boy's Life, or EWWW as I like to call it. So, this is what I found in my bathtub Sunday afternoon. Luckily I don't like to take baths because I don't think I can go in there again. Samuel has been collecting random toads that he finds in our woods and we have a nice aquarium that he keeps them in. I really wanted to take the kids on a Lake Michigan cruise, but the weather was just too cold! We went up in the Hancock Tower which I haven't done in many, many years. We will be moving to our new house next week but most importantly, our grandson, Matthew James Hansen, is going to be arriving very soon!
