This allium was growing in December last year after a very mild winter. It also did just fine after winter truly showed up in February and March. This year it is still early to rise. January 10, 2017. The cold has arrived! The plants brought indoors have been cycling around from upstairs to under the grow light downstairs. A safe haven for those that start to droop:. I added a Thuja Plicata “4ever Goldie” to plant out back come spring. The golden color is stunning though I know it will be years before it grows to a nice size. The orchids are song well save for one that lost its second to last leaf. I will move it under the grow light as a last chance effort. Early Riser →.

November 5, 2016. I am looking into mid November and still seeing plenty of beautiful days to grow cool season things. I planted carrots, spinach and arugula but have not had to cover anything yet. Autumn has stayed longer than I thought it would, but it is still welcome here. Jamie is set to come home November 16th. I am both thrilled and filled with fear, but it will just be a new schedule to adjust to. I look forward to having his smiling face at home again. For When You Walk with Me Again.
